I did a bit of an "experiment" the other day with my 50mm lens. I haven't been able to get a decent comparison shot of the difference in Dof, and I finally did.
But, for those of you who didn't know, the smaller your aperture (the larger the f number) the clearer the background becomes.

Thank you very much for your comments and faves, regretfully, I am finding it increasingly difficult to reply to your comments, because of my very limited time on the internet, due to constant power interruptions in South Africa. I do read and appreciate every one of them, however! Thanks again!!

I have never done this before, but I had to put these two pictures together so that you can compare the differences. I used the identical prompt in MidJourney and DDT2D and this is the result. Basically I asked for a woman who was not feeling well, sitting in her bed and working on her laptop. I also wanted it in the style of Norman Rockwell. I did MJ first and was disappointed, and then I tried DDT2D and was blown away!
Don't get me wrong, I have had some incredible MJ results, but in this case, DD walks away with the honours!!

"Camera 35" magazine tested the RC lens to resolve 80+ lines/mm center resolution, from f/5.6 to f/16.
The Canon f/1.4 is considered the "Japanese Summilux." No less an expert than Jonathan Rask said "this lens is the best vintage lens I have ever mounted onto my cameras." In the Canon 7 manual, there are *20* Canon lenses in 11 focal lengths that fit the 7 body. The Canon NEEDS the longer rangefinder baseline to utilize the 85mm and longer lenses.
The RC has both aperture and shutter speed setting visible in the window. It literally weighs so little (for an all metal! camera) that you forget you have it. It has an accessory shoe, the "7" does not.
The 7 only shows the lens focal length (which must be user set) and corrresponding bright-line, but it's the brightest rangefinder window I've personally viewed.
This was a photo I took in 2017. The next shot is one I just took and you can see how it has deteriorated in just three + years!

Not a great photo but it was almost dark and sometimes you have to use what you got.
The white-throated weighs in at approximately .7 to 1.3 ounces and is about 15 to 19 centimetres (5.9 to 7.5 inches) in length.
The blue-winged warbler weighs around 0.3 ounce and is in the 11-12 cm (4.3 to 4.7 inch) in length.

Here's an article on Caribbean Cruising featuring several of my ship shots:

Just a comparison in size between the Viking Sky and the P&O Britannia.
The Britannia can take 3,647 passengers and 1,398 crew. The Viking Sky can take 930 passengers and 550 crew. Quite a difference to be sure but just ponder this for a moment...The Royal Caribbean Ship Wonder of the Seas (the largest in their fleet) carries 5,518 passengers and 2300 crew!

I already updated my giant a bit, here's a height comparison.
Yes, even giants are in the Christmas mood.
This photo shows two sleeping dowitchers. The bird with the highly patterned back and tertials is a Short-billed. The Bird with the less patterned dark back and tertials is a Long-billed. Note the bird in the foreground is an immature Long-billed showing no internal markings on tertials. George Reifel Bird Sanctuary, British Columbia.
Here is an example of the differences between an iPhone (7+) jpeg and 35mm dSLR raw image of a fire sunset.
Clearly, the iPhone produces an over saturated image. To render true colors of sunrises and sunsets, taking raw images results in the best "truest" depiction although less dramatic at times.
Picture of the Day
This is a light painted image, taken at night. You can see the before and after comparison in the previous image of my Photostream.
Behind the Scenes Story: Last week, I photographed this foot bridge that goes over Millcreek—one of 5 canyons that drain into the Salt Lake City valley from the Wasatch Mountain range. It was through one of these canyons, in July 1847, that the Mormon Pioneers (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) escaped from mob persecution, in the east, and settled this valley.
On this evening, families and small groups were escaping the restrictions of COVID-19 (which had recently been loosened) by picnicking in these same canyons! That's a campfire you see through the trees at the end of the path (even though it looks like a sunset).

Faltou o XS que é bem menor que o S, mas eu não comprei porque acho frazino demais para o tamanho das cabeças da blythes. Deve dar ali no 15 mais ou menos e é bem magrinho. Mas vai do gosto mesmo.

Left column is aim to fix some of the foreground fracture artifacts on AMD smart weight. It is not awesome yet and will continue the fixing, but it might just take weeks before a better solution.
If it looks ok then I'll wrap it up and push a beta version.
Also I'm kinda dof fatigue now on the details. need some inputs.
PS. the term for blury foreground on top of focused area in rendering is "Partial Occlusion".

I think I've waited close on 2 years to post these images, which I can finally achieve today, thanks to some new printed parts and a little gentle sunshine!
Also shown here for comparison, is my late father's 'O' gauge model of a GWR 5700 (the 8750 I modelled is a revised variant). It sat proudly above his desk for as long as I can remember, perhaps partly as a promise of the layout he never built....
