Left image, NEF as interpreted by iPhoto (the original in ViewNX 2 looked just as bad). Right image, jpeg produced by ViewNX 2 after processing (Auto Axial Color Aberration = 75, Auto Lateral Color Aberration on, Color booster Nature = 8, sharpness = 1, Exposure Comp. = -0.5) and viewed in iPhoto.
I posted this one here, because I've read about people post processing, and with this series of shots, I realized just how important post processing can be. I guess I was surprised at just how much a few simple adjustments in ViewNX 2 can help (though I still don't enjoy using ViewNX 2).
