2021 overall was a huge disappointment. While we as a family were spared of major desasters (thanks for that), it overall sucked big time. So my hope now is that 2022 will not be 2020 too.
DESCRIPTION:
The picture is a composition of two photos.
The photographic project was born in March 2021. At that time Mars passed by the Pleiades, and, at the same time, the Etna has started a period of frequent but brief volcanic eruptions.
First, I photographed Mars and the Pleiades choosing focal and framing to match the image of the erupting crater afterwards. Unfortunately, the eruptions are very short and unpredictable, so I could take the second photo only three months later.

Hey Guys,
We recently passed the halfway mark of 2021 and I wanted to take this time to look at what I have done so far and recall the goals I set for myself in last year's LEGO Replay. And also to thank all of my supporters thus far whether in my personal life and Flickr Life. Thank you for the followers, I truly appreciate all your support. Glory to God.

In 2021, through the help of God, I set these goals, and this is how far I have come (For Now):
1. Keep Building- May building always be present, Check
2. Keep learning and improving my LEGO techniques- Always a Continuous Process, Check
3. Reach 500 Followers- We’re on our way. Thank you to everyone one who has followed me thus far. I really appreciate all your support.
4. Be featured in Brick Vault- Haven't quite yet, but if anyone ever sees a build of mine in an episode (anywhere in it counts) I would appreciate the notification. ;)
5. Spread the Love of Jesus just a bit more through my passion for LEGO!- Out of all my goals this is my most important. If anyone ever has any questions about Following Jesus. I would love to help and point you in the right direction.
I pray you will continue to join me on this Life and LEGO journey and that you have a very amazing rest of your 2021 year!

I didn't see Mohamd Ibrahim for some time. He used to be on Dundas Square, but I am guessing his 'spot' was taken during his absence. His school year now finished, he is back in business. Mohamd, who is now about 15 years old, is of Sudanese descent.

Goodwood Revival Couple 2021
A wonderful event to celebrate the history of motor racing.
Classic dress sense always gets noticed.
Week 37 Portrait in Monochrome
Both are long term members of the GRRC (Goodwood Road & Racing Club).
John has a long working association with the sport and has met many of the racing greats over the decades.
John is a real character. He was badly injured in a motorcyle accident as a teenager leaving him with one leg shorter than the other.
He was thrown through the windscreen of his car (before the days of seat belts) and was again badly injured. It took him three years to recover.
He was a boxer as a young man and has always worked on and loved cars, especially racing cars.
He has had surgery on his heart and major surgery on his knees and hips.
And now, in his mid 80's he still smiles at Life.

What do you call a mural if it's not on a mur. 'Murus' (Lat) is technically vertical or oblique masonry work; and street or sidewalk is more or less horizontal. This 'Viart' appeared from one day to another in Kensington Market, a city area with relatively vibrant art culture. There were several paintings on Baldwin Street, but no signature on any of them. Now, few days later, most are probably gone.

山口対磐田の試合を見に行ったときのものだ。
17時過ぎの時刻でもう入場を終え、アウェイゴール裏から外の景色を見ている。一人立っていたのはVIP専用の駐車場の案内人だろう。奥の一般用の駐車場とは異なり、スタジアムの敷地内写真では左手奥にある駐車場のチェックと誘導を行っていた。夕方というにはまだ太陽が高すぎるかもしれないが、それでも17時を過ぎた時刻のなんというか物悲しい頃合いが赤っぽい色調と共に写真に現れている、のかもしれない。

暑くて今日も出かける気はしない。昨日は、夕食後、カミサンとヘッドライトをセットしたりしながら夕方から夜の近所をゆっくりと散歩した。歩くにはちょうど良い時間かもしれない。日没後の月が出ている近所の田圃の風景を、CONTAX TVS、PORTRA 400で撮った。その後、夜のコンビニエンスストアやガソリンスタンド、反射板などを撮ったが、1/10秒程度のシャッター速度なので手ブレしていることだろう。
ブログはblogger.comを利用しているのだけれど、すでにSafariでは写真のプットができなくなっていて、Chromeを使っていたのだけれど、クロームでも1回ではプットできなくてやむなく2回に分けた。70枚くらいでこれだから困ったものだ。もっとも、何枚上がっているかはよくわからないくらいたくさんだけれど。

Les Forces de la Montagne, série en hommage au célèbre alpiniste, guide de haute montagne René Desmaison.
Il a parcouru les massifs montagneux du monde entier. Auteur de nombreuses expéditions dans l’Himalaya, les Andes, les Alpes.
Il réalise la premiere voie directe de l’éperon Walker des Grandes Jorasses. Il donne le nom à cette voie « La Voie Goussault aux Grandes Jorasses » en hommage à son compagnon Serge Goussault mort d’épuisement à quelques dizaines de mètre du sommet.

The Forces de la Montagne, series in tribute to the famous mountaineer, mountain guide René Desmaison.
He has travelled the mountains of the whole world. Author of numerous expeditions in the Himalayas, the Andes, the Alps.
He makes the first direct route of the Walker spur of the Grandes Jorasses. He gives the name to this route «La Voie Goussault aux Grandes Jorasses» in homage to his companion Serge Goussault who died of exhaustion a few tens of meters from the summit.

Original. I just love this store front. Photographed probably by every street photographer in Toronto. The 'Original' was originally the F/X store and opened as prom dress destination in 2009. The store is by all accounts expensive, but women rave about it. I am more of a T-shirt guy, than floor-length-dress guy, so my opinion is irrelevant.

Woensdag 2 Juni 2021.
In de meivakantie werd er na het dagje Hennuyéres alweer de volgende dag op de tekentafel gepresenteerd. Opnieuw was het doel de BB67000 van SNCF met de steenslagtrein naar Quenast.
De trein was het hoofddoel van de dag. 's ochtends kwam het plan om in Soignies te gaan staan. Hier zou de trein goed voor de zon passeren. Niet veel later hoort Europorte ook te passeren met een graantrein naar Antwerpen Angola.
Aangezien ik alleen zou gaan besloot ik wat vrienden te vragen. Gelukkig, konden er 2 mee. Alleen het probleem was. Hoe kwamen we daar zo vroeg? Ons mam wou ons 's ochtends wel op het station van Essen afzetten, dit had ze immers aan mij beloofd nadat ik mijn examens had afgerond.
Met de 6:18 uit Essen werd keurig optijd het station van Soignies bereikt. Hier was het nog een stuk lopen naar de gewenste stek. Na de 2 geplande goederentreinen en het nodige reizigersmaterieel gingen we door naar Jurbise. We besloten hier achter het station te gaan staan op een viaduct te gaan staan.
Na hier 2 treinen geklikt te hebben was het tijd voor Neufvilles en dit moest wel goed gaan. Want het was een pittig stuk lopen. De zon stond vol in onze rug maar vol goeie moed liepen we daarheen. Helaas plooide er steeds meer wolken in de lucht.
Het ging lange tijd goed. Totdat er 1 wolkje voor de zon kwam.... en ja u raad het al, SNCF kwam de bocht door. Gefrusteerd werd er terug gelopen richting het station. We zouden de trein niet meer halen, Tot oplettendheid bij 1 van ons had de trein +2, snel nog een volle sprint getrokken en de trein gehaald.
Eenmaal aangekomen in Jurbise was het gedaan voor mij, ik had zodanig last van mijn voeten dat ik besloot de P-Trein op het station te klikken. Achteraf maar goed ook, want hun hadden hem niet in de zon.
Hier komt de NMBS 2150 met een propere M5 stam aan te Jurbise om niet veel later verder te gaan als P8801 naar Quevy.
