Often heard, but seldom seen, I was finally granted an audience with an elusive King Rail this morning. This morning, we heard a pair calling back and forth and in time, this one emerged from thick vegetation to continue foraging.

For anyone who didn’t know, yesterday, the first teaser trailer for The Batman was released at DC Fandome. For a movie that had barely started filming, it was awesome to see. Here’s the trailer: youtu.be/-FZ-pPFAjYY. If you don’t want spoilers, you should leave.

So now I’m going to talk about the trailer and what I could fix about the figs.
James Gordon - In the trailer, he wears pretty plain clothing but this worked so I went for it! The old Lando head from Star Wars would have worked better but I don’t have that. The hair would be pretty good too but I think that if Lego made the old man hairpiece in reddish-brown and black that would be perfect
The Ridder - During the trailer, we only see the Riddler once or twice and he’s where if some kind of disguise the whole time so we never see his face. He wears bandages and glasses similar to the Invisible Man and a dark green jacket. Rey’s hood from Star Wars would be pretty good but I feel that it’s too bright for him. I also don’t have that
The Batman - This is probably the one that I’m most proud of out of this showcase. The batsuit in this movie feels much more mechanical and it’s very different from past suits. I love the design but the helmet is a bit oddly shaped. I might consider shaving mine down to have the same shape as the one in the trailer. The Ocean Master head works well because while we didn’t see his eyes glow in this trailer, we have seen it before and it looks awesome. The torso could probably be better as the suit doesn’t have any gold in it but this was the best I had.
Catwoman - We don’t see much of Selina in the trailer either! What we do see is her with a very different mask that looks like a hat pulled over her face with eye holes cut out. Nothing else on her outfit is shown though. If there was a face print that matched her mask I would use that with Black Panther ears. But there isn’t a face print like that so I worked with what I had.
The Penguin - This Penguin is before Ozzy became a sophisticated crime lord and was more of a creep. I considered using the old man hair again because he’s balding but I decided on this instead. The Hobbit dwarf head worked because it looked very brutish and it had scars and deformities on it, just like we see in the teaser. We again, don’t see his outfit other than his face so I just gave him some generic black clothes.
So all in all, I am VERY excited for this movie to come out! The action seems solid, Riddler is the main villain, the GCPD is actually doing something for once, and oh my god Colin Farrell disappeared under the prosthetics. This is gonna be awesome. See you guys later
The first of March, meterologists keep telling us this is the first day of spring. I would rather wait for the solstice before making such declarations though myself. Either way though, Glen Coiltie was looking splendid under the pink hues of sunset tonight.

- im Klartext "Twin Image Maker" von Holga für 35 mm Kleinbildfilm. Eine Halbformatkamera mit Spaßfaktor. Als erstes lassen sich ganz simpel filmsparend zwei verschiedene Fotos nacheinander auf einem 36x24 mm Negativ festhalten, dann kann sie pseudo Stereoaufnahmen machen, surreale Effekte durch die Augenlider schießen, es lassen sich Bilder mehrfach Belichten und was weiß ich noch alles. Vor allem auch Fotos von Kindern lassen sich bequem machen, weil die Kamera ihre Aufmerksamkeit erregt. Die TIM hat ca 35 - 40 mm Brennweite, eine Verschlußzeit von 1/100 Sekunde und drei Blenden(Öffnungen) von f/8, f/11 und für bestes Wetter f/22. Das Fotoergebnis sind halt Plastiklinsenbilder - niemand erwartet von der 180 gr leichten Plasteknipse Leica Qualität. Und sie hat sich recht tapfer geschlagen: ein paar verrutsche Negative, mangels logischem Denken des Fotografen ein, zwei halb belichtete Negative, ein bißchen Ausschuß, aber sonst... :-))
"Twin Image Maker" by Holga for 35 mm film. A half format camera with fun factor. First of all, two different photos can be taken on a 36x24 mm negative in a very simple, film-saving way, then she can make pseudo stereo pictures, surreal effects through the eyelids, pictures can be exposed several times and more.... Especially photos of children are easy to take because the camera attracts their attention. The TIM has a focal length of about 35mm, a shutter speed of 1/100 and three apertures of f / 8, f / 11 and, for the best weather f / 22. The photo results are just plastic lens captures - nobody expects Leica quality. And plastic cam did it quite bravely: a few slipped negatives, one or two half-exposed negatives due to the lack of logical thinking of the photographer, a bit of scrap, but otherwise its nice to have ...

Another Marmite images - love or hate it critique welcome.
A few years ago I attended a day workshop on adding textures and backgrounds to images. It required the use of photoshop or other software and merging photo’s. I try my best to get my photo's right in camera so I never got very far with this process.
So today I experimented with capturing suitable backgrounds in one shot and then my subject in the second shot. The first exposure in this image is the grass/vegetation I was standing on with an appropriate bottle top slogan and the second is the marathon runners against a sky/sea backdrop.
