Hope everyone has had a wonderful Holiday Season and are ready to put 2021 behind us. Tough year and it will be an easy one to forget.
That being said, I have plenty to be thankful for and for all I do have I am grateful. To all my flickr friends and contacts, new and old, I appriciate your support this past year and for that I am very thankful. WRT the world at large, together we can wish for the end of COVID being the dominant headline in the news, peace, health and prosperity for 2022. It just has to be a better year.

Just to be clear, this is a real shot, made from a single image with a 0.6s exposure and a tad bit of camera movement shot with the Meyer Optik 50mm f/1.8 Oreston shot wide open. The Oreston is perfect for a theme like this as it produces the cleanest/defined bokeh of all my lenses. I hope this abstract brings a bit of a smile to welcome in 2022!!!
When I got to the lake it was bitterly cold. But then the sun came. The landscape shone and I felt the warmth of the rays on my cheeks.
Besides me there were two other photographers at the lake. One filmed himself at work - the other had a huge telephoto mounted and was possibly looking for birds. We didn't speak - but I'd love to see their pictures.

Also this year there were the bright autumn colors in the Ahr valley, unfortunately not so intense because there was no sun when I was there to take pictures.
Yesterday this picture above was weather photo in the German TV (ARD Tagesschau) around 8:15 p.m.
Auch dieses Jahr gab es im Ahrtal die leuchtenden Herbstfarben, leider nicht so intensiv weil keine Sonne, als ich dort zum fotografieren war.
Gestern war dieses Bild oben Wetterfoto in der ARD Tagesschau gegen 20:15 Uhr.
