What a year we had in 2020…
All the scheduled flights were canceled this year, spent nothing booked vacation along the coastline in Quebec, driving over 6,000km in the remote area… Got up almost every early morning for sunrise… Along the coastline, always had surprise, found falls along the river, the strongest waves I have ever seen… Also along the mountain valley, fall colors covered the mountains, reflected on the lake like mirror… 😉
Another one, even far north, over 3,000km driving in the rural area, seldom saw people, but saw the sign “Be sure fill your gas because no gas station in the next 500km”… 😉
I had the most sunrise photos in 2020, at Niagara Falls, although most time there was no sun, but there was sun in my heart... 😉
As a healthcare worker, I felt the stress in 2020, even everything stops, we can not stop… Appreciate we are alive, healthy… What else we expect... 😉 Hope a better 2021!
But I have the most support and loyalty from my Flickr friends! Heartfelt thanks for all my dearest Flickr friends with me in 2020!!! 💕

As I reflect on this past year, I remember some good times, I remember some bad times. I am really glad to see this year end, as we all are. It was a beast. I sincerely hope that like a butterfly, we see rebirth.
I know I will go through sad times, lonely times and long for what was, but in the end I will be grateful for the life and love of my family and friends.
I wish you all an incredible new year.
butterfly symbolism works as a representation of resurrection, change, renewal, hope, endurance, and courage to embrace the transformation to make life better.

Vesterålen is a district and archipelago in Nordland county, Norway. It is located just north of Lofoten and west of Harstad. It is the northernmost part of Nordland county. Sortland is the largest town, situated near the center of the archipelago. Vesterålen includes the municipalities of Andøy, Bø, Hadsel, Sortland, and Øksnes.
The landscape is mountainous, but the mountains have a more rounded shape compared to the mountains in Lofoten. The towns and villages are situated on the coastal brim (Strandflaten) between the mountains and the fjords. There are also several lakes, such as Alsvågvatnet. Møysalen National Park is partly located in Vesterålen (website). The climate in Vesterålen is maritime, with mild winters considering this archipelago is well north of the arctic circle. Bø is the northernmost location in Norway with daily mean above 0 °C (32 °F) in all winter months.
