Monochrome version of Azuma 800105 crossing the Forth bridge on Sept 9th 2021 with the 1000 King's Cross-Aberdeen. I don't know if I prefer b/w or colour.
During the period of the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2020 (but held in 2021 due to covid), we went to the neighborhood where the Amsterdam Olympic Games were held in 1928...
Location: Afroditekade, Amsterdam South (NL). Accross the Stadiongracht the Westernmost part of the Pieter Lastmankade.

Reason: Due to the bad weather this Summer it was hard to find a moment with good weather and a location for my weekly self portrait. This week I came accross this spot in the Olympic quarter and this picknick table which is owned by the residents of the residential flat on the quay, but which I was allowed to use for my 52-Weeks project.
Olympics: The 2020 Summer Olympics held from 23 July to 8 August 2021 in Tokyo. The 1928 Summer Olympics (Dutch: Olympische Zomerspelen 1928), officially known as the Games of the IX Olympiad was celebrated from 28 July to 12 August 1928 in Amsterdam in this neibhourhood.
Stationbuurt: The Stadionbuurt is a neighborhood in Amsterdam, in the South district in the Dutch province of North Holland. The neighborhood is named after Harry Elte's national stadium and not after Jan Wils' Olympic Stadium. This stadium stood between 1914 and 1929 on the site of the current Jason and Argonautenstraat. It was demolished after the 1928 Olympics to make way for housing.
The Stadionbuurt is bordered by: Noorder Amstelkanaal, Apollolaan, Olympiaplein (east and south sides), Parnassusweg, Zuider Amstelkanaal (centre), Amstelveenseweg (centre), A10 ring road (northern toe slope), Schutsluis, Schinkel, Olympiakanaal, Stadiongracht, Amstelveenseweg, Cornelis Krusemanstraat and Hendrik Jacobszstraat. 746.002 s pravidelným sobotným Pn 63453 z Banskej Bystrice do Podbrezovej. Oproti Pn 63451, kotrý jazdil cez pracovné dni, 63453 chodieval z Banskej Bystrice približne o hodinu neskôr.
Náplňou týchto dvoch vlakov bola najmä vozba záťaže pre Železiarne Podbrezová, ktorých história sa datuje až do roku 1840. Hlavným produktom Železiarní je samozrejme oceľ, poprípade
bezšvové a zvárané rúy, pričom celková ročná produkcia podniku činí okolo 300 000 ton ocele a výrobkov z nej. Viac ako 90% z tejto produkcie smeruje do zahraničia.
Občas sa ale v týchto vlakoch objavovali aj prázdne vozne, napríklad do stanice Hronec - na vlečku štátnych lesov SR, prípadne do Brezna alebo Polomky.
V ľavom dolnom rohu fotky je vidieť vlečkovú koľaj vedúcu do vojenského útvaru 1043 (VÚ 1043), ktorý slúži ako základňa nepotrebného materiálu. Vlečka je využívaná približne 1 až 2x do roka.

746.002 with regular Saturday mixed frieght train number 63453 from Banská Bystrica to Podbrezová. Compared to frieght train number 63451, which ran on weekdays, 63453 went from Banská Bystrica approximately one hour later.
The load of these two trains was mainly consist of cargo for the Podbrezová steel mill, whose history dates back to 1840. The main product of Podbrezová steel mill is of course steel, or
seamless and welded pipes. This company's total annual production is around 300,000 tons of steel and steel products. More than 90% of this production is for export.
Sometimes, however, empty wagons also appeared in these trains, for example to Hronec station - on the branch for state forests (Lesy SR), or to the stations as Brezno or Polomka.
In the lower left corner of the photo, you can see the siding leading to military unit 1043 (VÚ 1043), which serves as a base for unnecessary material. The siding is used approximately 1 to 2 times a year.

Image taken at Burt's Pumpkin Farm off Highway 52 just south of the Amicalola Falls State Park. Most of the pumpkins in this section of the farm were >25 pounds (11kg) in weight. If you are able to zoom in you can see that the actual height of the pumpkins is about knee height. Hope everyone has a wonderful Thursday. :-)

Und dann hat es doch noch geklappt: Von August bis Dezember 2021 beförderte das schwedische Unternehmen Hectorrail ein gemischtes Güterzugpaar zwischen Nürnberg Rangierbahnhof und München Nord. Die Hinfahrt erfolgte zumeist über das Altmühltal und Ingolstadt, zurück ging es über Augsburg. Hintergrund waren Lok- und Personalmangel bei DB Cargo. Zum Einsatz kamen zumeist ES 64 U2, es gab auch Sichtungen von einer schwarzen MRCE 185 und ganz selten kam auch eine Lok der Baureihe 151 zu der Ehre, den besagten Zug zu bespannen. Mehrfach hatte ich versucht, eine solche Leistung aufzunehmen - stets vergeblich, entweder spielte das Wetter mir einen Streich, oder DB Netz. Am 16. Oktober 2021 kam ich dann doch noch zu meinem Wunschbild. Die 162.007 konnte vor dem DGS 95180 nach Nürnberg Rangierbahnhof bei Haspelmoor in herbstlicher Landschaft fotografiert werden. Der ehemalige Bundesbahn-Sechsachser trägt übrigens den Namen "Beckert" - eine Reminiszenz an den Film "M - eine Stadt sucht einen Mörder" von Fritz Lang.
And then it worked out after all: from August to December 2021, the Swedish company Hectorrail carried a mixed goods train pair between Nuremberg shunting yard and Munich North. The outward run was mostly via the Altmühltal and Ingolstadt, and the return trip was via Augsburg. The reason for this was a lack of locomotives and personnel at DB Cargo. Mostly ES 64 U2s were used, there were also sightings of a black MRCE 185 and very rarely a class 151 locomotive had the honour of hauling the train in question. I had tried several times to capture such a service - always in vain, either the weather played a trick on me, or DB Netz. On 16 October 2021, I finally got my dream picture. The 162.007 could be photographed in front of the mixed freight train DGS 95180 to Nuremberg shunting yard near Haspelmoor in autumnal landscape. By the way, the former Bundesbahn six-axle locomotive is called "Beckert" - a reminiscence of the film "M - eine Stadt sucht einen Mörder" by Fritz Lang.
