Coachwork by Hebmüller
After five years of war and five years of keeping the Russians at bay, the men of the British army of occupation in Germany were used to seeing some pretty unusual things. So no one batted an eyelid when their eccentric commander, Charles Radclyffe, drove into camp in his funny little car with a retractable roof. The car had been made on the instructions of Major Ivan Hirst, who was in charge of the requisitioned Volkswagen factory. The moustachioed major saw a bright future for the Beetle model. With this in mind, in 1946 he had two prototype cabriolets built on a Beetle chassis: a four-seat version and the above-mentioned two-seater for the colonel, which became known as the ‘Radclyffe Roadster’.
Two years later, Volkswagen decided to put both models into production. The coachwork for the four-seater was ordered from Karmann; for the two-seater it came from Hebmüller, at the explicit request of the owner himself, Herr Joseph Hebmüller Jr. The Volkswagen Type 14A was available in different colour combinations, with brown upholstery and a collapsible rear seat. However, its most luxurious and most innovative feature was undoubtedly the built-in push-button radio from Telefunken.
But then disaster struck. On 23 July 1949, the Hebmüller factory at Wülfrath near Wuppertal burnt down. Protracted negotiations with the VW management in Wolfsburg for a follow-up order and discussions about property rights caused Hebmüller to scale back production drastically. In four years, just 693 Type 14As rolled through the factory gates. The company never recovered fully from the fire and went out of business in 1952. A sad and quiet end for the two-tone Volkswagen that was later destined to become a ‘must-have’ for collectors. It is thought that only a hundred or so Hebmüllers have survived, including this battered model without headlights and bumper. It is one of the 319 cars made in 1950. Ivan Mahy bought it in the mid-1970s from Werner Schaub, a textile producer from the Swiss village of Vordemwald, where he had a modest car collection of his own. The Schaubs had met Ghislain Mahy at a rally some years earlier and since then had kept an eye open for cars that might interest their friends in Ghent. Mahy paid 1,000 Swiss francs for this Hebmüller, a fraction of what it is now worth.

Wacky Chucky: "Bahamas my ass! It's a photo that I did together with my buddy Yasha in the February 2021. Location is abandoned beverage factory Maraska (first floor looks like a house after the war). Anyway, my pal is very busy today so I decided to upload this image. You are probably thinking that shoes on the left side is from my victim, but honestly Yasha found it in some office inside the building, we thought it would be cool to include it in the scene together with an old plastic wine crate (Metlika). Near the shoes you can see old bottle label "Maraska". Little details were our obsession during this photo session. If you zoom the photo you can see little hole in the ceiling, it was a shortcut that pigeons used to fly faster on the second floor (it's not a joke I saw it with my own eyes). We repeated this scene 2 evenings (this is a photo from second photo shooting).
If you scroll down on this page you’ll see old black & white photos of Maraska, you can see how this room looked donkey's years ago (it is a fifth photo with many bottles and barrels). I don’t know what to tell you anymore… Oh I almost forgot, I wish you Merry Xmas & Happy New Year”.
Wacky Chucky: "P.s. During this photo session I was pissed off because such an old and nice architecture was decaying for many years because of negligent authorities. Now some greedy investors decided to make boring fancy hotel but without the restoration of the old factory. I wrote a song about Maraska with a little bit help from friend Yasha, I will share a little part with you now and the rest will be uploaded next year (be patient please, I need to go now to cut some yummy cheese).”

Saturday 14th of August 2021 and a trip to the closest Cathedral to me in Portsmouth. Portsmouth Cathedral was built in 1180AD and paid for my a local wealthy Norman merchant. It has a very interesting history. In 1449AD the Bishop of Chichester was murdered in Portsmouth by sailors so the cathedral was closed for a time and the people of Portsmouth excommunicated! The Cathedral is just a short walk from the closest beach at the Hot Walls.
Mit dieser Erwartung wachte Ich am 25.09.2021 auf. Die halbe Woche lang wurde schon perfektes Wetter für besagten Tag angekündigt. Als dann der Blick aus dem Fenster eine graue Wolkendecke über Dresden zeigte, wurde ich etwas stutzig. Der Blick auf das Wolkenradar zeigte dann auch im Elbtal einen erschreckenden Graustich. Nur Schmilka sollte angeblich ein Streifen blauen Himmel besitzen, also auf dort hin.
Tatsächlich war dort auch für ein paar Stunden die Sonne zu sehen, doch der Verkehr ließ zu wünschen übrig. Kurz bevor die Sonne für den restlichen Tag verschwinden sollte und man sich mehr dem üblichen Elbtal - Tourismus widmete, fuhr doch noch der Einzige Güterzug bei Sonne um die Ecke.
Die Akiem 186 369 hatte die Aufgabe einen Metrans Containerzug in Richtung Tschechien zu ziehen.
Triebwagen 642 078 fuhr am 5. Oktober 2021 im strömenden Regen als Regionalbahn 13235 von Rostock nach Graal-Müritz. Im Bild hat der Zug Rostock Torfbrücke fast erreicht. Bis zum Ziel sind es noch weitere zwei Minuten...
In de stromende regen reed DB treinstel 642 078 op 5 october 2021 als stoptrein 13235 uit Rostock Hbf. Op de foto heeft de trein het eindpunt bijna bereikt - nog slechts drie minuten zijn het tot het badplaatsje Graal-Müritz.

Am Abend des 16.05.2021 kam noch einmal kurz die Sonne heraus und ermöglichte so ein Bild von 143 957-9 mit ihrer S9 zwischen Klitschmar und Reußen.

Začátkem prosince 2020 uskutečnila společnost ČD Cargo online výběrové řízení na nájem až sedmi lokomotiv Vectron MS s obdobím na rok 2021 (s případnou opcí na další rok). Hlavním důvodem k pronájmu je indispozice lokomotiv Traxx MS3 u kterých stále nebyl dokončen schvalovací proces. Touto formou se podařil sjednat pronájem pěti Vectronů od společnosti Alpha Trains Europe. Jedná se o stroje inventárních čísel 193.584 až 588, které dorazily do SOKV Ústí nad Labem 4.1.2021. První tři stroje inventárních čísel 584 - 586 jsou bílé, stroje 193.587 a 588 jsou v barvách společnosti Alpha Trains. Na všechny Vectrony byla, před uvedením do provozu, nalepena loga společnosti ČD Cargo. Pro úplnost bych ještě dodal, že společnost ČD Cargo koncem ledna rozšířila flotilu Vectronů o další dva pronajaté stroje - 193.724 od společnosti ELL Germany a 193.627 od společnosti MRCE.

En retrait dans une grande propriété arborée, clôturée d'un haut mur et de grilles, ensemble néoclassique d'une ancienne brasserie construite dans la 2e moitié du 19e siècle, aujourd'hui dénommé le château du Bocage. Disposés en ordre semi-clôturé autour d'une cour quadrangulaire, dépendances basses, grange et imposant corps de logis, d'une remarquable homogénéité.

Galatella linosyris (Asteraceae) 258 21
Galatella linosyris (goldilocks aster - synonyms: Aster linosyris or Crinitaria linosyris) is a species of perennial plant from family Asteraceae found in Eastern, Central and Southern Europe.
It can also be found in Great Britain, the southern part of Scandinavia and in Asia Minor.
The flowers are yellow coloured. The species have stems up to 10–50 centimeters, with leaves that are lanceolate.
The plant does not have ray flowers, only disk florets.
It blooms from July to September.
