Macro Monday - I spy - an object starting with a vowel. My choice is Optic.
#69 - 100 x challenge - Lensbaby
This is a real pick 'n' mix as it's my Sweet 35 optic photographed with my Velvet 56 then a high contrast mono conversion.
Op de zeer winderige vrijdag 21 mei 2021 werd er na weer een zware en lange werkdag niet direct naar huis gereden omdat er zowaar aan het eind van de middag vanuit het westen wat opklaarde en er nog een werktrein van Strukton-Rail onderweg was. Terwijl de bewolking toch weer begon toe te nemen en het redelijk kansloos leek, kwam de zon gelukkig net op tijd achter de bewolking vandaan, terwijl de 1756 met de 303008 in opzending passeert ter hoogte van Papekop. Achter de loccen vervolgens een Kirow-kraan van STRABAG-Rail, een sleep wagens met spoorstaven, een sleep Regs en daarna (nog net zichtbaar) de 303001, de stopmachine en achterop de 704 op weg vanuit Amersfoort naar IJsselmonde.

This species is a herbaceous perennial plant. Its reddish stems are erect and branched in the upper section, and can grow up to 1 m.
The flowers have five petals and sepals and are colored bright yellow with conspicuous black dots. The flowers appear in broad helicoid cymes at the ends of the upper branches, between late spring and early to mid-summer.

Anacamptis pyramidalis (Orchidaceae) 138 21
Anacamptis pyramidalis, the pyramidal orchid, is a perennial herbaceous plant belonging to the genus Anacamptis of the family Orchidaceae.
This orchid is native to southwestern Eurasia, from western Europe through the Mediterranean region eastwards to Iran.
Anacamptis pyramidalis requires a sunny spot on diverse soils: loamy or clay. It can even grow on very alkaline soil. It can be found on meadows, in grassland, dunes, maquis, dry and well-exposed slopes, at an altitude of 0–1,600 meters or more above sea level.
This hardy plant reaches on average 10–25 centimeters of height, with a maximum of 60 centimeters. The stem is erect and unbranched. The basal leaves are linear-lanceolate with parallel venation, up to 25 centimeters long, the cauline ones are shorter and barely visible on the stem. The arrangement of hermaphroditic flowers in a compact pyramidal shape is very distinctive and gives the orchid its common name. The color of the flower varies from pink to purple, or rarely white, and the scent is described as "foxy". The flowering period extends from April through July.

Branching Out..
The first snowfall in January was a pleasant surprise as the weather was quite warm and the snow fell for the better part of the morning letting up in the afternoon. we made our way to Heart lake,
This photo of a big gnarly old tree looks like some strange monster hunched over and reaching out to the frozen lake, trying to trap those innocents who would unwittingly pass by.... or so i imagined in my futile but slightly twisted mind.

SNCF 66442, Chaudenay (ligne Neufchâteau - Chalindrey), 22 Septembre 2021.
Le 22 Septembre 2021, un beau TM était mis en marche entre les dépôts de Blainville et de Chalindrey; on retrouve dans la composition notamment la 66442, dernier exemplaire de la série dans la livrée bleue, le 67210, seul exemplaire de la série en livrée Infra ainsi que deux vénérables BB63500, série qui vit ses dernières heures sur les rails Français. Le convoi aborde ici la bifurcation de Chaudenay, où la Ligne 15 Toul - Dijon se raccorde à la Ligne 4 Paris - Belfort, alors que le soleil disparaitra quelques minutes après la photo...

Die MKB 248 006 fuhr am 30. September 2021 mit einem Kesselwagenzug über die Stammstrecke bei Neugarten gen Osten..
Tussen Stendal en Berlijn loopt de niet-geelektrificeerde "Stammstrecke" grotendeels langs de parallel lopende hogensnelheidslijn. Op 30 september 2021 reed de MKB 248 006 over deze "Stammstrecke" met een ketelwagentrein in oostenlijke richting..
The class 248 Vectron engines are so-called dual engines and can run on electric and non-electric lines. On September 30th 2021 the MKB 248 006 was on its way with an eastbound tank car train near Neugarten and used the non-electric line (with the alternative visible in the background).
