Brand new LTE loco 193 694 "Attracktive Forces" was helping out in Regiojet company´s international service line Prague - Vienna - Budapest and could be seen with northbound train RGJ 1030 near Dürnkrut

A few seconds earlier Stanier Black 5 4-6-0 45231 bursts from under Kenilworth Road bridge at South Wigston station on the ex-LNWR Nuneaton-Leicester Line with the Carnforth to Chesterfield "Chatsworth Christmas Sparkle" steam special running 15 minutes late.
The sixth coach is just crossing over Glen Parva Junction which connects the Nuneaton line with the southbound Midland main line at Wigston South Junction. Class 47 diesel 47828 was on the rear of the train.

Gourri is a village in the Nicosia District of Cyprus, found on a rough side at the foothill of the Machaira mountain, in the geographical region of Pitsilia. The village is located 10 km south of Klirou, 36 km from Nicosia.
Nicht alltäglich und deshalb um so spezieller, wenn der Neuverkehr der Railcare bestehend aus Schiebewandwagen von Wangen bei Olten nach Brig über die Lötschberg-Berstrecke gelangt. Der Zug verkehrt planmässig durch den Lötschberg Basistunnel (LBT). Am 13.12.2021 bespannte die Rem 476 454 «Wallis» den Zug 63659 und konnte unterhalb Ausserberg fotografiert werden.

This One seconds long exposure was taken at an altitude of Five metres, at 06:57am on Monday 23rd September 2019 around sunrise off 1st Street and Bevan Avenue, between the boat jetty and Bevan Avenue Fishing Pier in beautiful Sidney by the sea on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.
The beautiful red sky bursting through the clouds was created by the sunlight's falling dust particles in the atmosphere, and lasted only a a few minutes before vanishing. It evolved almost out of nowhere and had walkers and joggers stopping in their tracks to watch it's brief beauty before it was gone and blueish grey clouds dominated the skyline once more.

Regno Unito, Kent, Dungeness, Primavera 2021
Dungeness si trova alla fine di una penisola ghiaiosa, nel Kent. Oltre a un insieme di capanne e baracche apparentemente disposte a casaccio, qui si possono trovare una centrale nucleare, due fari, la stazione di una linea ferroviaria a vapore in miniatura, i resti di alcune barche da pesca ormai spiaggiate e una varietà di flora e fauna uniche per questo tipo di spiaggia. Nell’insieme questo posto dà l’idea di un villaggio da post guerra nucleare e vale la pena visitarlo in quanto è sicuramente uno dei luoghi più originali di tutto il Regno Unito.
Dungeness is at the end of a mile and a half shingle promontory in Kent. Aside from a collection of seemingly random huts and shacks, it has one nuclear plant, two lighthouses, is the terminus of the miniature Railway, some wrecked fishing boats moored on the shore, and a collection of flora and fauna unique to its shingle landscape. All together this place gives the idea of post-nuclear war village, and it is really worth visiting as one of the more peculiar places in the UK.

Seit dem 31. Juli 2021 ist die Stuttgarter S-Bahn-Stammstrecke für die nächsten 6 Wochen gesperrt. Neben der Erneuerung von Schienen und Weichen sollen dabei auch die Tunnelstationen zwischen Hauptbahnhof und der Schwabstraße saniert werden. Dabei dürfte das originale Erscheinungsbild der Stationen aus den 1970er-Jahren wohl endgültig verloren gehen.
Bereits der Vergangenheit gehören 420er auf der Stuttgarter S-Bahn an. Im Jahre 2016 war der Stern der heiligen ET bereits am Untergehen, in der Regel wurde noch ein Umlauf auf der S1, S4 und S5 gefahren. Dieser Umlauf erreichte Ende Juli 2016 gerade die Stuttgarter Stadtmitte, um dort zahlreiche Berufspendler in den Arbeitstag zu entlassen.
Wenn die Tunnelstationen zum Ende der Sommerferien vermutlich in einem neuen Glanz erstrahlen und in den kommenden Jahren das Verkehrsrot der jetzt eingesetzten 423 und 430 einem weiß-Grauen VRS-Design gewichen ist, dürfte sich dort im Vergleich zu 2016 das Erscheinungsbild der Stuttgarter S-Bahn komplett gewandelt haben
In Aachen-Steppenberg, an der Rampe von Aachen-West bis zum Gemmenichertunnel, kam am 02.05.2021 passend, für die die blaue Class 66 PB15, die für Crossrail unterwegs ist, auch wenn RTB-Cargo angeschrieben steht, die Sonne heraus.

This was taken at the time of the St Paul's Carnival, hence the tables outside and the jovial mood. Some wonderful smiles here
I can’t resist the late afternoon light on the locos at Loughborough so I had to take this front 3/4 shot of BR Standard 5 4-6-0 73156 on shed road 2. The fact it is once again coupled up to its tender must mean that the damaged roller bearing on one of the tender axles has been repaired. Our engine 9F 92214 can be seen on the left.

RB 24698 Königstein (Taunus) - Frankfurt (Main) Hbf
Auf der "Königsteiner Bahn", welche die im Taunus gelegene Kleinstadt mit der nahegelegenen Metropole Frankfurt am Main verbindet, werden auch in 2021 noch die mittlerweile über 40 Jahre alten Dieseltriebwagen des Typs VT2E eingesetzt. Der Großteil des Verkehrs wird jedoch mit mehr oder weniger modernen Triebwagen der Baureihe 648 abgewickelt. Doch auch damit soll bereits in gut einem Jahr Schluss sein, die Leistungen sollen von Wasserstoffzügen übernommen werden. Grund genug, der Strecke mal einen kurzen Besuch abzustatten, an einem Sommerabend blieb genug Zeit für drei Bilder südlich von Schneidhain, bevor es über Nacht nach Oberfranken ging.

We went on our traditional Mother's Day hike again, and this year we chose the Provinceland Dunes on the Eastern side of Provincetown. With the wind from the West, it was a very comfortable hike - cool weather, but very sunny and no wind since were were protected by the high hills of sand.
