Location: Market St. just east of Alamo, in front of the convention center.
This is the temporary bus stop for the convention center (notice how it doesn't have a bus stop number).
Not having a garage or an outdoor cover yet, the still-unnamed scooter is driven into my basement office, where the convenient sliding door opens into the shared back yard. A folding aluminum ramp helps get the scooter in, where it scares the cats.
My basement office is constantly ventilated because the cat's litter box is down here too, which helps the fumes from building up. The slight smell of motor oil is rather pleasant.

So glad to have dirty hands and somewhere to work again after such a long hiatus.

The statue of Peter Stuyvesant by Massey Rind was ripped off of its pedestal in Bergen Square by the Board of Education and earmarked to be installed in this small park a block away. Unusal for Jersey City there was a public uproar and the city announced plans to recreate the original 1910 base in Bergen Square, the historic center of the city. For now the sculpture has been restored and is currently occupying the place the Board intended it to. Keep in mind the temporary Guastavino tile dome at St. John the Divine was completed in 1909 and is still there.
Today, E. Sunset Way is supported by a temporary wall made of soil, high density fabric and rock. Crews will replace the temporary wall with a permanent, concrete wall to support the wider roadway.
