The birds and kite-flyer flying a bird-kite are cut in a temporary paper window covering. I put that up for while i'm getting settled so I can have some privacy The birds are holes so curious passers-by can peek through.
When direct light comes through the bird-shaped holes in the paper window coverings, it casts these light-shapes on the adjacent window.
I love how the birds swoop around, flying in always changing spirals as the sun moves across the sky.

The richly decorated vault of the nave from the old Nicolet cathedral, recovered before the demolition of the building due to a 1955 landslide next to the old cathedral. The old vault was incorporated in a building erected in 1957 to temporarily house diocesan and parish activities while a new cathedral was being built. After the construction of the new cathedral the building became the seat of diocesan pastoral care and several charitable and social organizations. The great hall, deconsecrated, became a natural meeting place for the community. Today the building is a cultural, community and social center.
