The birds and kite-flyer flying a bird-kite are cut in a temporary paper window covering. I put that up for while i'm getting settled so I can have some privacy The birds are holes so curious passers-by can peek through.
When direct light comes through the bird-shaped holes in the paper window coverings, it casts these light-shapes on the adjacent window.
I love how the birds swoop around, flying in always changing spirals as the sun moves across the sky.

in a branchless forest populated with eager dialect, even/especially in these anxious times; these retired branches become crutches when congregated. and so like a bottle rocket flying right through our cutout hearts, let these words be everything we could ever want them to be, and these common fears a makeshift prosthesis to sedate our common phantom limbs.
(and when we can get our heavy hearts to love lightly, this house of cards will become a home.)

After many years of faithful service, our Zojirushi rice cooker finally cooked its last batch of rice. Until we buy a new one, the family will rely on this small, three cup cooker.
Finally got around to moving the old Mac G4 which holds my web photo albums into the closet, out of the way, making room at my desk to get the Mac Pro currently set up on my dinette table moved into the den. Eventually, the Mac Pro will power the new and improved photo server, and this G4 will go bye-bye.
I'm no Meteorological expert, but i'm pretty sure there cant be many years on record where we have had inches of snow fall in one morning in April in London.
Thanks to Micah i was up early and able to take a few shots before it turned to slush.

Temporary Iron Foundry was part of the THEN/NOW public art project, in association with the Forth and Clyde Canal, by artists Minty Donald, Neil McGuire and Nick Millar.
This event was the casting of a series of iron ingots using a specially constructed furnace. This was performed on the site of the former Victoria Foundry, on the banks of the Forth and Clyde Canal between Firhill and Rockvilla, and near to the HQ of Scottish Canals.
The ingots commemorate a THEN/NOW event that took place earlier this summer, the Barge Pull. In this public experiment a variety of 'engines' took part, namely one golden labrador dog, one heavy horse, seven kayakers, eight adult humans, eight cyclists, and fifteen children. Each team pulled a working barge, loaded with timber, along a stretch of the canal for two minutes each. The team and their respective distances are cast into the ingots.
The ingots will be set into edging stones on the canal banks in September-October 2015.

A bulb flower farmer has inundated his lot near the Nieuweweg at Hillegom, providing a new and interesting temporary photomotive here.
The inundation is an environmental friendly way to kill all unwanted weeds, insects and bacteria.

Papa is making one from wood, nothing fancy just a ring with holes for the candles, so the glass candlesticks with fake evergreen are temporary.
We lit the first candle tonight.

We have brought our outside guard cat in as we're supposed to get high winds and torrential rain tonight.
Andy isn't sure about an even temporary/overnight arrangement.
Oddly enough, the eyes don't light up at night, although the body does outside. The cat is solar powered. The bright eyes are from the flash.

WEDU brought Elmo and Jet Propulsion from the new PBS KIDS series READY JET GO to Tampa Bay Comic Con on Saturday, August 6, 2016. Fans took photos with the characters and picked up free temporary tattoos, solar-system activity sheets and entered to win a Sesame Street themed basket.

We are replacing the lighting in our Hall, in a block of 8 artisan’s flats, built in the 1890's in Brixton, South London.
I thought maybe the wiring had gone in during the 1940's or 50's but now, looking at what is being removed, it must have gone in at the advent of eletricity!
The temporary lighting is proving very popular, lends a carnival feel to the place :-)
