The image was taken at the Jersey Shore, before the summer crowds. I was working on a composition that will include the lifeguard stand, when this dude walked right into my composition. Eventually I joined him on a mutual disconnect.

Taking a temporary break from images of Germany to bring some local ones taken yesterday.

Mt. St. Helens, which last erupted 36 years ago and is rebuilding itself with a lava dome inside the crater, ( which eventually will form her new top ) and lot of new growth, including an abundance of wildflowers this year.

Zorg goed voor u en uw dierbaren en blijf gezond

Ik ben in ieder geval tot de kerstdagen afwezig op Flickr, zoals een aantal van jullie wel weten door drukke werkzaamheden op het werk,(Slagerij) ,die nu dit jaar door de Corona Covid-19 nog drukker zal zijn omdat alle reataurands dicht zijn en de mensen thuis moeten eten .

Ik zal zo af en toe nog wel eens reageren denk ik (in de pauzes) :-))

The triumphal arch in Volubilis was erected for Emperor Caligula at the occasion of the annexation of the former vassal state Mauritania into the Roman Empire. Caligula's great deed happened by inviting the last king of Mauritania to Rome and killing him there. Deft move. I bet some leaders from nowadays wouldn't mind having such arches for similar deeds.
