August 2010: Construction of the new University of Aberdeen Library to replace the Queen Mother Library (QML)
On April 23, 2017 I replaced the black Seymour Duncan loaded pickguard on Felix The Strat with a YJM-loaded Fender pickguard that I bought from The Stratosphere. I'm sure it came from a Yngwie Malmsteen signature model Fender Stratocaster.
Here I am screwing the pickguard down after I finished the wiring.

Green groups increase pressure on Gillard to replace Hazelwood

Ahead of the Federal cabinet meeting on Tuesday, Victorian climate and environment groups are calling on Prime Minister Gillard to cooperate with the Brumby Government to completely replace Hazelwood power station with clean energy.
It was reported on Saturday that the State government is considering a partial closure of the out-dated coal fired power station by 2014.
"It ‘s encouraging that the state government recognises the need to act on Hazelwood. There is a crucial opportunity this week for the Gillard Government to get on board and help fund a full buy-out of Australia's dirtiest power station,” said Environment Victoria CEO Kelly O’Shanassy.
"Right now, Julia Gillard doesn't have a climate policy. Replacing all of Hazelwood with clean energy will cut Australia’s emissions by almost three percent, and should be top of her climate list at the Cabinet meeting on Tuesday," said Climate Action Centre spokesman Damien Lawson.

In the background, built in 1907, this Jacobethan Revival-style building was designed by Clarence Johnson Sr. to replace the University of Minnesota’s Old Main Building, which had been lost to fire three years prior, and was named for William Watts Folwell, the first president of the University of Minnesota. The building features a red brick exterior with stone trim, a red terra cotta tile hipped roof with hipped dormers, one-over-one windows in groups of one and three with decorative stone trim surrounds, projected bays at the center and east and west ends of the north and south facades with bay and oriel windows, decorative trim including finials and cartouches, and parapets with decorative trim, entrances at the central bays of each facade with trim surrounds including pilasters, corbels, cartouches, and arched transoms, large brick chimney stacks, a stone base, and heavily decorated stone spandrel panels between the third and fourth floor windows on the principal North facade, which feature ornate Cartouches. Inside, the building features marble walls and floors, decorative fireplace surrounds, historic doors, decorative trim, and historic staircases. The building is a contributing structure in the University of Minnesota Old Campus Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984, and today, after a major rehabilitation project carried out in 2012, houses the University of Minnesota’s foreign language departments.
In the foreground, built in 1977, this Modern Brutalist-style building was designed by BRW Inc. and David J. Bennett of Myers and Bennett Architectural Studio to house classroom space for the University of Minnesota. The building is largely subterranean beneath a quad between multiple historic buildings on the University of Minnesota’s old campus, with a rough textured concrete exterior, sunken entrances, sculptural towers, a sunken triangular courtyard, ribbon windows, tapered facades, an angled walkway across the roof of the building, planting beds outside the windows on the roofs of the building, and sloped glass facades at the courtyard. The building is one of two excellent examples of late 20th Century experimental architecture designed by David J. Bennett on the University of Minnesota campus that were built with largely subterranean structures that utilize design elements to provide as much natural light as possible to the interior of the buildings.
At least that's what I think they're doing.

Replacing light seals is not my favourite pasttime - the removal of the old gunk is the worst!
The 500G has a LOT of foam on the rear door.
When replacing it, I tried to see if I could economise with the material.
The result is not super pretty but there is now much less foam than originally used.
A test film shows no leaks.
The light seal on the right edge needs to be redone with a thin felt strip. The foam used is too thick, but it works for now.
the old ones where compleatly rotten as the previous owner made a big mistake that led to water building up around it...
