I took the opportunity to replace the front bump stops before the wings went back on. I used the clamp and freeze method to get them to a manageable size. Each one "sucked" into place with little effort.
SNCF is replacing 4 of the 6 railway bridges near my block. This first part 2 bridges this weekend. This set about all the preparation and heavy material.
Built in 1876-1878, this Second Empire and Renaissance Revival-style courthouse was designed by H. E. Myer, and replaced a previous courthouse on the site that was destroyed by fire in 1876. The building features a mansard roof, rusticated stone exterior, limestone trim, bracketed cornices, oval dormers with oxeye windows, stone pilasters at the corners and between bays on the building’s facade, a rusticated stone base, windows on the second floor with circular rose transoms, double-hung windows, a central tower with a golden dome atop the roof and four clock faces on dormers around the dome, an octagonal top, and a wrought iron flagpole and weathervane at the top, pilasters on the sides of the tower separating bays with arched louvers and oxeye windows, and a cornice with modillions. On each facade of the courthouse, there is a central projecting bay with a gabled roof topped with a sculpture, with paired pilasters framing centrally placed bays on each floor with the top bay having “1876” carved on a stone panel, a double window with a complex arched transom, and double entry doors on the first floor with arched transoms and stone trim surrounds, with one-story doric porticoes at each doorway with paired doric columns and pilasters, a rooftop parapet with urns above the columns, and wrought iron railings. The courthouse is surrounded by a landscaped park-like square with a walkway ringing the building, a parking lot at the northeast corner of the building, and multiple monuments adorning the square. The courthouse remains in use for some county court functions, though many government functions have moved to other buildings in Downtown Newark due to the increase in the county’s population and the size of the local government since it was built in the 19th Century. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973, and is a contributing structure in the Newark Downtown Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

Sally port, from the Ravelin. Brick incline replaces original wooden bridge. Dry moat has been filled to provide tourist access. During the Civil War, the rooms on either side of the sally port were used to hold political prisoners--pro-secession MD legislators and local rebel sympathizers ( including, at one time, Baltimore's police chief ) who were accused of ( but not tried for ) subversive acts. NOTE: Those rooms are in the above ground structure, not the bombproofs.
Richard Vens replaced Janis Gotte on 9th April. Richard has brewed with many companies, his most recent being as head brewer with Crouch Vale in Essex. In addition to working at ZD he also works as a brewing consultant.
He said "there's so many good ingredients out there across the world - and here uses the best of them, there's no getting out of that. But size wise, if I used all the fermenters here at once it would equate to just one brew at Crouch Vale".

Replace the regulator and turn it to the closed or cooking position. Place the lid on the pressure cooker. Align the handles and lock the lid in place.

The Hot Rod is a dying breed, with electric motors replacing the glorious mechanical marvel that the engine is. The V12s are the first casualty of the envirormentalits war on internal combustion engines. As of right now there is no such thing as an electric hot rod, and it's unlikely there ever will be. With that in mind I set off to build something I have never seen, a V12 hot rod. And I went a bit off the deep end and designed the most crazy, anti eco, hotwheels style hot rod that I could think of.
The WTF (W-Twenty Four) Limitless Speedster started off as a 6 wide, V12 hot rod. Then I decided it was too narrow and widened by 2 studs. Then I thought, "Now I can fit two V12s in this thing! Why the F not?" I breifly considerd dropping two V16 engines in it, but the car was already longer than I'd like it to be so I stuck with the twin V12s to keep the idea semi plausable. The end result is two V12s stuck together to form a supercharged W24 engine, with a ram air scoop and a whopping 24 side exhaust pipes (12 a side)! This mighty power plant produces 2400 horsepower, and 989 lbs-ft of torque. It's connected to a 8 speed twin clutch manual gear box, powering the rear wheels! It will do 0-60 in about 3.2 seconds and on to a top speed of 240 MPH, which is limmited by it's slightly un-aerodynamic shape. All encased in a light weight custom carbon fiber body and frame, and riding on carbon fiber wheels. I also got some custom chrome bricks for the engine, from Chrome Block City to give it a true hot rod look. This is the kind of car that is better at Smiles per gallon, rather than it its Miles per gallon.
Dug out the old wisteria that died from root rot, replaced the soil to a depth of 1m, and planted a new one, with a plastic barrier to keep the roots from going next door
The back three are unmarked copies of the Scandia Trolls. The front three are copies of the back three. They are made from cheap, hard, what I call doll plastic. One had faux fur hair, the other two mohair, but all three had those moving googly eyes, which were horrible, so I replaced them with glass! Amazing that I managed to get the same three as the ones I already had! Chuffed to bits! 😁 I would love any information on either of these two sets of trolls.
