Replacing the motor rickshaw is an ambitious aim, but I believe this vehicle family is heading in the right direction. This vehicle is electric, and consists of two moulded polyester halves, forming a rigid frame. Using regular lead acid batteries with a wiring sequence designed specially to make electronic or mechanical controllers redundant, this should be a supremely cheap way to supply a narrow vehicle for urban use in metropolitan areas of emerging economies. We have built a prototype, which reaches a top speed of 50km/h, and has a range of around 50km.

The next stage in Edinburgh's abandonment of trams affected routes west to east with the conversion of tram services 1, 15, 21, 25 and 26 leaving busy areas such as Corstorphine, Portobello and Musselburgh without trams.
The Corporation replaced all except the 21 with buses and were poised to replace this route but Musselburgh Town Council made a clear preference for Scottish Omnibuses (SMT) which meant Corporation buses on services 26 and 44 could not cross the Eastfield boundary. The replacement SMT route 176 worked St Andrew Square to Wallyford deviating from tram route 21 half-way along the racecourse to traverse Ashgrove and Pinkie Braes. Overcrowding resulted in double-deck buses being sent to Musselburgh to cope. Some considerably older than the trams.
Here at The Mall in 1955 we see E22A a Guy Arab II with Weyman body await a crew change-over near the depot. These Guy buses were new in 1945 their spartan like bodies the result of scarce materials during the war. E22 looks to be carrying beyond its capacity for 55 plus 5 standing, note paper sticker for 'Ashgrove' . Football pools were popular in that era and Vernon Sangster owned one of the biggest pools companies and was a regular advertiser on SMT buses. Seen opposite is the then town 'drinking fountain' which is now the war memorial. In 1958 E22 and most of the Guy buses moved to Highland Omnibuses.

The air filter is a crucial part of any dirt bike. Air filters capture dust particles and keeps them from getting pulled into the cylinder while you're riding. It's an issue for these two reasons. First reason, dust and dirt particles will create extra wear on the internals of the engine, like the pistons and piston rings. Second reason, a clogged air filter does not allow enough air into the engine and will have a sluggish feel. Luckily maintaining it is a pretty easy task and with this simple tutorial, just about anyone can do it. Should take between 5 and 15 minutes once you have all the tools and materials ready with the help of this video.
The Lutheran Cathedral was built in 1830-1852 to replace an earlier church from 1727. The church is Greek cruciform in shape, and the original neoclassical design by Carl Engel was altered by his successor, Ernst Lohrmann. Lohrmann added four small towers and two side buildings of which one is a belfry, and the other is a chapel. There are statues of the Apostles made of zinc on the roof, and they are the biggest unique set of zinc sculptures in the world. The altarpiece was painted in the 1880s, and the statues of angels on both sides of the altarpiece and the pulpit were designed by Engel. The seating capacity is 1300. The church was called St. Nicholas church until the independence of Finland in 1917. Since 1959, it became a Cathedral, and is called Helsinki Cathedral or the Lutheran Cathedral.

Controller installed backwards! Yes backwards. The phase wires on the 2014 SR are flipped when you compare their sizes to the the 2013 S motor I had previously.
Note the bundle of taped wires are used for my IXXAT to interface with the controller.

This project is replacing the old Lesner Bridge with a signature facility that is capable of handling six lanes of traffic in the future. The replacement bridge structure will be striped for two lanes of traffic and wide shoulders. The inside lane will be 12 feet wide and the inside shoulder will be 6 feet wide. The outside lane will be 14 feet wide and the outside shoulder will be 8 feet wide. Each bridge will also have a 10 foot wide multi-use path for use by pedestrians and recreational cyclists. The proposed bridge will be designed to provide minimum 45 feet vertical clearance above mean high water and 225 feet minimum horizontal clearance at center navigation channel span. This project also includes upgrades to the intersections of East Stratford Street and Vista Circle (the termini for the project), as well as aesthetic upgrades within the project limits.

The road surface was replaced in our neighborhood area during the pandemic COVID-19. This is what I saw them doing. A deposed truck drove in front of the road breaker truck. The road breaker truck crushed the old asphalt surface, and suck it through a channel dropping it to the deposed truck. A shovel track cleared up all debris. A sweeping truck made groves on the road.
The roller truck pressed down and leveling the surface. An asphalt pavers truck was laying asphalt on the road. After all, we have a new surface road.
Asphalt is obtained either as a residue from the distillation of petroleum or from natural deposits. The use of asphalt is very old, dating back to its use as a water stop between brick walls of a reservoir at Mohenjo-Daro (about the 3rd millennium BC) in Pakistan. In the Middle East it was extensively used for paving roads and sealing waterworks, important applications

Very cold day. The suppliers sent the wrong size fan belt and we have to flush out the green antifreeze to use red.. Wan left at 3 pm to get a new fan belt and did not return because of rain… difficult fittings to secure a small fuel hose around the new Belt Tensioner pulley that came with the van in 2015. Also came with a Repco Made in China fan belt that is not recommended as they squeak and squeal.
