Ready-in-One-Night Pickled Sweet Vinegar Garlic
- 4-6 whole garlic(each cloves peeled)
- 1 cup vinegar(any kind)
- 1 cup brown sugar(or any other kind of sweetener (if honey use 2/3cup)
- 1-2 tsp salt
- 1 empty Classico Pasta sauce jar or bigger jar.
1. Mix vinegar, sugar and salt until they're all dissolved(you can do directly in the jar or separate microwave safe bowl).
2. Put in garlic cloves into the jar(or bowl) until it's all packed in.
3. Put jar into the microwave and nuke for 2.5 min(It will bubble and overflow so you might want to put a plate or paper towel under the jar)
4. Pull it out of the microwave(jar is piping hot) and ripe off any excess water and quickly close the jar with a lid. Let it sit until the lid makes the "pop" sound(takes about 20-60min).
Inside the Mini: The steering-wheel emblem, made to be mangled. I'm told they can't give me a new one without replacing the entire air-bag assembly. Bullshit.

Because of construction at Cococay, our cruise itinerary was modified and that private island was replaced with Freeport on Grand Bahama Island. I think that people were generally fine, though a few were more vocal in their complaining. The captain during the session with guests and other crew leaders made a good point. We were a longer cruise and a shorter one that only went to Cococay and Nassau could not be well served with changing their itinerary. So we got to go to Freeport Harbour. We did not do any excursions, but walked around a bit in the shopping area right off the port. It is an industrial port with a dry dock - so from a boat geek POV, it was an excellent stop. Taken from onboard the Grandeur of the Seas and on terra firma at Freeport, Grand Bahama Island on Monday February 18th, 2019. These were from our Royal Caribbean Grandeur of the Seas for a 9 Night Southeast Coast & Bahamas Cruise (February 14th through the 23rd, 2019). The itinerary include stops in Charleston (SC), Port Canaveral (FL), Freeport (Grand Bahama Island), Nassau (Bahamas) and Miami (FL) before heading back to Baltimore.

This bridge replaced the ferry boat, turn of the 20th century. A modern but ugly concrete bridge replaced this one twenty or so years ago. This was once a toll bridge across the South Branch Potomac River. Due to the '85 flood, a span is missing, so this bridge ends at the middle of the river.

The problem began with a steering wheel that seemed to grab every 5 degrees or so. It was like it settled into notches. To go straight you had to go a little to the left and then a little to the right. The dealer did not know what the problem was. A couple months later the wheel started to jump back and forth while at rest or when under way. I left it at the dealer for three days and this is the part that was changed and the problem is resolved for the time being.
Here is someone else's You Tube video of the same problem that I had. It is not rare. GM is paying for the repairs according to this site. I will look into that.
The road surface was replaced in our neighborhood area during the pandemic COVID-19. This is what I saw them doing. A deposed truck drove in front of the road breaker truck. The road breaker truck crushed the old asphalt surface, and suck it through a channel dropping it to the deposed truck. A shovel track cleared up all debris. A sweeping truck made groves on the road.
The roller truck pressed down and leveling the surface. An asphalt pavers truck was laying asphalt on the road. After all, we have a new surface road.
Asphalt is obtained either as a residue from the distillation of petroleum or from natural deposits. The use of asphalt is very old, dating back to its use as a water stop between brick walls of a reservoir at Mohenjo-Daro (about the 3rd millennium BC) in Pakistan. In the Middle East it was extensively used for paving roads and sealing waterworks, important applications

I sold my soul and used the money to buy a used 5th generation 80gb ipod for pretty cheap. I run rockbox on it (rockbox.org), which is awesome. Unfortunately the battery stopped holding a charge. Replacement cost me about $30 NZD and came with a tool for opening up the ipod.
Replacing the tail light on my 2012 Mazda 3. For someone with no demonstrable mechanical skills, it was a modest achievement... particularly since the replacement part didn't come with instructions. Finding my way into the backside of the trunk was quite an adventure (and I cracked one of the plastic tacks before figuring out how they worked).
Replace power supply unit ADA Vuppa I 110vDC to 230V DC out 5V DC
Replacing an older fortification built by Charles I of Hungary, construction of Corvin Castle began in 1446 CE on the orders of John Hunyadi (Ioannes Corvinus in Latin, Iancu de Hunedoara in Romanian), a wealthy Hungarian political and military figure who was regent of Hungary from 1446 to 1453 CE. Work slowed when he died in 1456 CE and completely stopped in 1480 CE—nevertheless creating one of the largest and most impressive buildings in Eastern Europe. The 17th century CE saw expansion, including two new towers for military purposes. Restoration after a major fire and decades of neglect took a fanciful turn.

Newly carved reproduction stonework replacing damaged medieval carvings - beautifully done!
Lincoln Cathedral is the third largest in England (after Saint Paul's and York Minster). Construction began in 1088 and continued in phases throughout the Middle Ages. It was reputed to be the tallest structure in the world for 238 years from 1311 until 1549 when the 160m central spire collapsed and was not rebuilt. I particularly liked the fantastically carved western façade and the 12th century baptismal font carved from Tournai ‘marble’, a black limestone from Belgium.
The first church was built on a hill in Garvolt. It was replaced by a thatched building erected in 1796 inside the present church gates. In the 1850's the church was very much in need of repair and much too small to accommodate the rising population of that time. From parish records we can see that over 60 baptisms and 30 marriages took place in Glangevlin in 1872.
In 1856 Fr. Hugh Magauran built a new church and erected the famous bell used during evictions. The old church was used as a parochial house. In 1978 the church was in need of essential maintenance and a new tiled roof replaced the old slated one. In addition an extension and porch were added to the church structure. The old magnificent alter, adorned with the apostles, was moved forward to allow the priest to face the congregation. The original bell tower was situated along side the church. It was rededicated on the 6th August 1978. Recently the tower was relocated to the rear of the church.
