A recurring thing lately with repaints, first time I've clocked it in service since repaint, and it's back on the very route it was branded for previously, 48s!!

636 heads down Farnborough Road with a 48 to Nottingham via Riverside Retail Park and The Meadows whilst tram 219 in the distance pulls away from the Summerwood Lane stop.

I got her on sale a couple of weeks back and i was always intrigued by this sculpt- androgynous and strong, which upon arrival , it confirmed all my expectations. the sculpt is surprisingly detailed and easy to work with though quite ginormous lols. She is wearing a leatherette empire gown, with shoulder sculpture details and a filigree headpiece all inspired by Cherlize on Snow White and the Huntsman.

This celebrity doll repaint was inspired by Julie Andrews' classic Disney character of Mary Poppins.

I used a 16-inch Mary Poppins doll here produced by Robert Tonner Doll company - a very nicely made facial sculpt but the facial paint left much to be desired. So, I completely removed factory facial painting and hand painted it to more faithfully replicate Julie Andrews as Mary Poppins. The doll's hair has been extensively restyled to more accurately represent the character's hairstyle from the movie.

Repaint is a new form of pop art, wherein the doll's face is treated like a three dimensional canvas, with the added challenge of painting within a very small area . Since dolls are basically miniature pieces, brush strokes and shading have to be very controlled and precise.

-- acrylic paint and ultra fine brushes

Steamrangers 507 was purchased and delivered in March 1991 still in the SAR scheme of Red and Yellow and was repainted not long after. Sitting outside of the Mt Barker depot on 19-9-1996, 507 has just had its second repaint since under Steamranger ownership.

She's available, check my profile for info.

So here’s Lammily. She puts me in the mind of a snobby hipster that’s probably done everything you have, only sooner and more expensively.

I carved her lips to get the weird flat expression off her face. I boiled her hair to get it to lay down flatter (instead of the just rooted mad scientist look she had going on). I also carved down her weird toe-thumbs. They were two times thicker than the rest of her fingers and just made her hands look really, really awkward.

She’ll arrive with her default clothing in her original box (which has a bit of a tear, it was awkward to open). She fits YOSD size pants perfectly and Ken shirts are a good size for her, too, as well as Ken shoes.

Friday 13 ^_^/

With all the business that is the prom season, i fainally had some down time today and started playing with dolls again, and condition myself for the upcoming weeks to fill in some commissions... Im lucky to have this doll as a gift for christmas and its just now that i get to play with it. I repainted her with neutrals, doey eyes, thick lashes and brows, almost having that androgynous feel.

Am I ever out of practice painting the vinyls! LOL! In my defense it HAS been a good...4 years now at least since I painted something like this. It was fun though!

I've been binge painting for a few weeks. These girls are almost done! A bunch are mine, a few are for friends, a few are commissions, and the rest will go to Etsy in a week or two.

The 05 plate artics are now next for repaint with two already treated by First Bluebird at Larbert depot. However, rear adverts may delay the repaint of some.

10170 had its rear advert removed a few months back and was first to be treated in this repaint programme, seen here on King Street on the Red Line.

Cleo! Probably my least favorite sculpt, she's kinda boring. But even so, I gotta repaint 'em all! hah!

Repainting by contractors of the Buchan Interdecks means that the majority are now in the yellow long distance livery now.

54253 is one of those and heads for Peterhead along King Street this evening.

I´ve been askes many times to make a tutorial about how I repaint my dolls and I finally started to make one.

The first part is done and you can see it here:

www.lulemee.com/2014/08/13/how…

The first part is about the supplies I use for my repaints. Have fun reading! The next part will be made soon!

OK, I overdid with Photoshop here, her eyes are not red... But it's just a picture.

67088, currently off service awaiting parts for a few weeks now, with sister 67084 added this week. Given the scruffy appearance it would be nice if this was to become the first E200MMC to gain the Aberdeen livery.

Karla! Repaint by me, created for a friend.

BU-20 brings back 10 empties from International Paper through Florence at dusk with CSX 4403 on the point. Is that a former PRR milepost on display here at the RiverLine station? It sure looks like it.
