Well, this is actually a fake Kurhn doll makeup practice head , but I'm going to buy an official one now that I know I can make something with them!

This celebrity doll repaint was inspired by Julie Andrews' classic Disney character of Mary Poppins.
I used a 16-inch Mary Poppins doll here produced by Robert Tonner Doll company - a very nicely made facial sculpt but the facial paint left much to be desired. So, I completely removed factory facial painting and hand painted it to more faithfully replicate Julie Andrews as Mary Poppins. The doll's hair has been extensively restyled to more accurately represent the character's hairstyle from the movie.
Repaint is a new form of pop art, wherein the doll's face is treated like a three dimensional canvas, with the added challenge of painting within a very small area . Since dolls are basically miniature pieces, brush strokes and shading have to be very controlled and precise.
-- acrylic paint and ultra fine brushes

Heres my wonky eyed LA Girl repainted to look more East Asian sine when I saw her promo pics I thought she looked like an Asian girl who just dyed her hair and wore contacts.
I based her on a few of my favourite Asian actresses and singers who have very distinct bags under their eyes which I tried to paint here.
Anyway I’m really happy with how she looks, so I’m debating on dyeing bits of her hair more lol…
One of UP's original SD70Ms delivered in 2000 was rolling around the bend at CP Canal. It looks nice now, but in a few weeks that flag will be disrespectfully filthy like so many others on the roster.
Remodel, Week 16
Last up for today, my promised new “wide view” of the exterior post-repaint (even if it’s not as great as the one I posted at the start of this photoset yesterday afternoon, haha!). l_dawg2000 reports that there’s still one tiny portion at the rear of the building that still remains brown, but otherwise, the entire rest of the building was complete as of last weekend. Let me know what you think of the new look in the comments below!
Separately, I’m just now noticing it appears that the blue services sign to the left of the entrance has been removed after all… I figured it wasn’t going to last too much longer in its current state, what with “digital photo” still on there long after the photo center had closed down, but I wasn’t expecting the entire sign to disappear! Maybe it’ll wind up returning later, though; I’ll have to keep an eye on that. Likewise, I’ll continue to keep an eye on all the rest of the remodel progress, and bring you another update in a few weeks or so…! :)

These places are public so these photos are too, but just as I tell where they came from, I'd appreciate if you'd say who :)
With all the business that is the prom season, i fainally had some down time today and started playing with dolls again, and condition myself for the upcoming weeks to fill in some commissions... Im lucky to have this doll as a gift for christmas and its just now that i get to play with it. I repainted her with neutrals, doey eyes, thick lashes and brows, almost having that androgynous feel.
I'm a little late in the game as far as Face App goes, but discovered it over the holiday and thought I'd play with repaints and actual photos to see how close it really was or can be to what someone looks like younger, older or even as the opposite gender. Of course I ventured into Charlie's Angels realm and couldn't resist to see Cheryl Ladd, Farrah Fawcett, Jaclyn Smith and Kate as what their younger selves might have looked like.
Here are two graphics playing with this app.
This one features repainted and restyled (in some cases with hair added) by artist Noel Cruz of www.ncruz.com using the face app with only the child filter on the original photo by stevemckinnis.com.
10160 returning to the depot behind 10049 after a days work on the Red Line. In the evening the 1&2 duties are covered by buses off the Northern Lights, Thistle and Sunshine lines with the artics returning to the depot direct from the Bridge of Don.
Southbound UP Oak Creek coal empty COKAT-02 rolls over the top of the C&M with a nice-looking UP repaint in the lead. Its encouraging to see Uncle Pete renewing a bunch of the grungy techno toaster specimens into something much easier on the camera lens.
My first Maleficent repaint is somewhat finished now. Those horns are so magnificent... I keep turning her head around and imagining her as a bull. ;-D
I'm going to repaint my other Malificent and then take dramatic battle pictures outside in the woods.
WIP - A new barbie repaint

Working on a series of Monster High dolls based on the 7 deadly sins. This Spectra is my representation of Wrath, the angry spirit of a woman who met an untimely end.
I've been binge painting for a few weeks. These girls are almost done! A bunch are mine, a few are for friends, a few are commissions, and the rest will go to Etsy in a week or two.

The 05 plate artics are now next for repaint with two already treated by First Bluebird at Larbert depot. However, rear adverts may delay the repaint of some.
10170 had its rear advert removed a few months back and was first to be treated in this repaint programme, seen here on King Street on the Red Line.
