Yup, these are still the same repaints from last time, just took new pics of them... I'll be working on more repaints soon :)
Raven Queen is one of my favorite customized dolls, I tried to make a makeup similar of the one she is wearing in the cartoon but with my own style.
Since I saw Kitty Cheshire with a sort of double buns in the episode “A Tale Of Two Parties” I wanted to do the same haircut to one of my dolls, now Raven looks like Maleficient !!
I got her on sale a couple of weeks back and i was always intrigued by this sculpt- androgynous and strong, which upon arrival , it confirmed all my expectations. the sculpt is surprisingly detailed and easy to work with though quite ginormous lols. She is wearing a leatherette empire gown, with shoulder sculpture details and a filigree headpiece all inspired by Cherlize on Snow White and the Huntsman.
After moving on from the serviceable E500’s, the repaint program moved back to the StreetLites before an apparent pending route branding decision halted those repaints again.
63204/11/6-8 have been repainted in the meantime, 63211 seen here on the 13 on Roslyn St.
This is my latest Rapunzel custom with a screencap of the look I was going for. My boyfriend saw her and went 'that's probably your most ambitious re-do, but it doesn't look anything like Rapunzel', so I showed him the picture I was working from. He went 'Oh. Okay. Well, it looks like that, but she doesn't look anything like herself there'.

GiGi is my most recent repaint.She was origionaly a first wave katie.she has had her eyes changed and new lips color painted.unlike most of my custom girls we used nailpolish for her lips and then we put a coat of gloss over it to make it shine.she also has new eye make up wich i did with a ultra fine blue sharpie.GiGi is a very coture high fashion supermodle type girl sher is the most grown up looking girl of all my livs.She is wearing a liv fur shall coat thingy and a barbie basics scarf and dress and a pair of random barbie fishnets and some barbie basic white boots.SHE IS MY NEW FAVE!!!
This is a custom repaint of the Unicorna figure from the Combo Warrior knockoff line.
There seem to be two versions out there, this one started out as the lighter version. I added layers of blue and pink with metallic white for an iridescent kind of look, and changed the trunks from green to blue with a new gold belt. Also replaced the very boring blue vest with a furry soft goods accessory that I borrowed from a Zoloworld figure, and armed him with a hefty stone axe to imply great strength.
Ultimately I was going for a wild and free kind of look, like a unicorn... but also a barbarian.
This isn't the first time I've repainted an 80s knockoff figure, I tend to like them better after some custom work.

The first thing you need to do is remove the old faceup.
I use Acetone nailpolish remover and cotton balls.
As soon as the faceup is removed, I rinse the face with warm water, to make sure there is no acetone residue left behind.
After I dab the cottonball in the acetone, I squeeze it out. You want to make sure the cottonball is not dripping with too much acetone, otherwise it will drip down the doll and possibly stain the clothes.
After focusing on other types for a spell another hybrid has been repainted into the new local livery, 29001. This had been unique in carrying Stagecoach Electric Hybrid fleetnames unlike the rest of the batch that was route 59 branded.

I may have bought this set primarily for Maleficent, but I paid 10 quid in import duty for them both, so I was damned if I was leaving Sleeping Beauty herself to languish in a box...
It almost feels like 'too little, too late' with Mattel's Signature series. There are some great new head sculpts - but then they all have the same, stiff arms and (at least these two) completely unjointed legs! Monster/Ever After High and the Fashionista/Style series have shown us that Mattel can make some brilliant articulated bodies - I just don't understand why they wouldn't try and use some of that for these dolls - which are supposed to be some sort of premium range, after all.
As for the repaint - I went for a side-glance (because I usually do), and a sort of doe-eyed, Veronica Lake-esque face; she always strikes me as looking half asleep even when she isn't under the spell. I refrained from rooted lashes/gloss varnish this time because I wanted her to have the rather stylised, flat appearance of the movie art direction (which is genius, by the way).

Ghoulia custom I did to sell, but I'm kind of thinking about keeping here. BECAUSE I'M GREEDY. No, because she's pretty. I kind of went for a Scarah/Sarah Screams thing, and she looks fierce in a high bun D: Anyway, if anyone is interested, let me know. If not, I'll keep her for me selfsies.
The latest E500 to re-enter service following repaint is 38213, latterly unbranded in Olympia. Sister 38205 has already been done and is ready for return from Caledonia.

She just arrived yesterday (Thanks Michaela!) and today i just couldnt resist doing her repaint. While she was in transit, i was planning on using berries and nudes for color, though i would still have to see her skin tone if it will work. and it did. Now she's my african queen, and cant wait for her to be my fitter. :D
