My first trip to minions in cornwall. Plenty of engine houses in the local area not forgetting "THE HURLERS" (2 stone circles) on the picturesque BODMIN MOOR. Best on black! A big thanks for looking!
A fire in a San Jose recycling facility went to three alarms, May 2, 2013. The fire got into large bales of cardboard and other recycling material, and presented fire fighters with several challenges. After about 6 hours the fire was under control, although fire crews remained on scene overnight pulling apart bales of cardboard to extinguish all the smoldering debris.

The Arkansas Fire Training Academy in East Camden, Arkansas maintains a fleet of three pumpers. Engine 1 is a 1988 Pierce Lance equipped with a single-stage 1,250 gpm Waterous pump and seating for ten personnel. It was purchased in 2010 after a tornado, which struck the AFTA campus on October 29, 2009, damaged existing apparatus beyond repair.
Here are a few pics of an engine casualty we had a while back. We spun a couple of main bearings (which then fried and melted to the crank and rods) and broke the oil pump. One of the pistons overheated and caused the liner o-rings to fail, which then flooded the crankcase with coolant.
South Cerney Show 1.8.15. The engine has a metal plate on the front of the boiler, enscribed "Britannia Engine",and what looks like "Willinson Balfour",or maybe "Wilkinson Balfour".

I had a blown head gasket, so i pulled the engine to make that easier. I had teh transmission rebuilt while the engine was out. I replaced all the suspension bushings, new lowered springs, shocks, and brake rotors.

Cobb's Engine House (properly known as Windmill End Pumping Station) in Rowley Regis, West Midlands, England, is a scheduled ancient monument and a Grade II listed building built around 1831.[1] It housed a stationary steam pump used to pump water firstly from Windmill End Colliery and later other mines in the area. Utilizing a shaft 525 feet deep, 1,600,000 litres of water were pumped from the mines into the canal daily.[2] It ceased work in 1928 and the Newcomen type engine was moved to the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan in 1930.[3]
It stands near Windmill End Junction in the Warren's Hall local nature reserve, where the Dudley No. 2 Canal and the Boshboil Arm meets the southern end of the Netherton Tunnel Branch Canal. The area came into the possession of Sir Horace St.Paul from his father-in-law, John Ward, 2nd Viscount Dudley and Ward, on his marriage to John's daughter Anna Maria Ward.[4] It was Horace who instigated the construction of the engine house.
