1999 ALF Eagle pumper. Formerly E16 from the Hiltop Station in Oregon City. Now serving as Engine 7 from the Plesant Valley station. Station 7 formerly staffed Squad 7 a two person 2005 Ford F550HD. Engine 7 has been in service since May 2014.
Here is the engine compartment the day i bought the car...it is the original 289, bored .030 over .010 crank and main turn, runs good, needs some gaskets and valve seals...

The lights of a fire engine responding to an alarm in our neighborhood.
Having the Boeing assembly plant near us results in seeing strange things on the freeway sometimes. Such as this jet engine from a 777. It's giant. Wider than the flatbed that it's sitting on, as tall as a city bus.
A Blackhawk mechanic waits for the "soap" cycle to be completed before moving the hose assembly to the other engine. The break in the cold weather allowed the unit to complete several engine washes that had been postponed.
This maintenance procedure gets a soapy solution clear into the Compressor, and Combustion sections allowing the life of the engines to be extended and remain as efficient as possible.

The former British Railways LMR welding school in Northampton. This is a grade 2 listed Midland Railway engine shed, dating back to 1873. This has been disused for many years now and is sadly being left to decay.

The San Francisco Fire Department lost two of its members from Engine Company 26, who were both critically injured during an explosion while bravely fighting a house fire in the Diamond Heights neighborhood on June 2, 2011. Both died at the hospital as a result of their injuries after all rescussitative measures were taken by the Emergency Trauma staff at San Francisco General Hospital.
Days later firefighters from around California and around the country gathered to pay their respects during a funeral service. In this sequence we see some of the equipment from the South Coastal area, from Santa Cruz to Santa Barbara
