Second row forward Daniel Fryer crashes over for Glasson Rangers' opening try in a Cumbria Men's Amateur Rugby League derby with Maryport. Athletic Ground visitors Glasson were outscored seven tries to three by their title-chasing neighbours and went down to a 38-18 defeat. Maryport, a small town on the west Cumbria coast, is a rugby league hotbed and supports three amateur clubs, Ellenborough Rangers the other.

The caged signal device on the left is called a 'banner repeater' and these are positioned when the driver cannot see a forthcoming colour aspect signal. In this case it's for the down signal at the other end of this platform (the up line) during bi-directional workings. The banner aspect is 'on' (the following signal is on stop/danger). When a banner repeater is 'off' (the following signal is on green/proceed) the display bar will be at 45 degrees.
