This is a picture that has sat in a box for many years because I cannot identify where it was taken. It is a Class 91 in Inter City livery leaving a tunnel and on the back of the print it says '1995'. It has the feel of Edinburgh but I am not sure. Can anyone help?
Grabshot of preserved British Rail Type 2 Class 25 Bo-Bo diesel locomotive 25057 stored at the Weybourne Locomotive, Carriage Maintenance and Restoration Centre satellite shed at Bridge Road on the heritage North Norfolk Railway in the County of Norfolk (UK).
25057 was built at Derby Works as British Railways Type 2 D5207 in 1963 and was withdrawn from traffic by British Rail on March 15th 1987.
Despite numerous visits to the NNR over many years, I've yet to see or hear the forlorn 25057 in action which on a personal level as a first generation diesel locomotive enthusiast is very disappointing.
It seems 25057 has been abandoned to its fate. The locomotive is not even listed on the North Norfolk Railway website rolling stock page anymore.

Wickham Class 109 Local Passenger 2-car dmu Nos.DB975005 (ex-No.E50416, Class 109) & DB975006 (ex-No.E56171, Class 146) in Rail Blue livery and all yellow front ends converted to General Manager's Saloon at York, 03/76. Although a rushed shot out of a carriage window, this is the only (scanned) photograph (taken with a Kowa SET) I have of a Class 109.

we visited a client in a prestigious university,
i wandered around the campus while waiting for my boss to wrap-up things,
i savored the spirituality that lingered in the school,
i remembered my schooldays and wondered if i should go back and teach,
to give back what i have learned from the university of life.
This must be the last time I saw a class 120 in operational service. I think this was on its way from Blackpool and heading for Manchester Victoria. Preston 29th April 1986.
I can't resist a class 110. Seen here working a Leeds to Sheffield local train, this is a Hornby model.
The unit represents the class on its last legs, and wears the blue and grey colours of BR and the MetroTrain logos of the West Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive.
It must be a damp day as the passengers appear to have steamed up the windows.

Class 33 33103 'Swordfish' was a rare sight on Platform 6 at Newcastle Central on July 11th 2007, hauling 975025 'Caroline'. I first saw it as D6514 at Waterloo on April 18th 1968.
To mark the withdrawal of the Class 501 units, the Southern Electric Group ran a farewell tour. Two of these three car units coupled together ran from Broad Street and covered their usual haunts of the North London Line and the DC line to Watford Junction. After a visit to North Woolwich, they then ventured highly unusually over some of the Southern Region. The train is seen here at Bromley North.
British Rail Class 745 25kV 12 car Electric Multiple Unit (EMU) 745001 working the 1P34 14:00 (15:16 RT) 'Greater Anglia' London Liverpool Street- Norwich service train at about 100 miles per hour northbound at Stowmarket Station on the Great Eastern Main Line in the County of Suffolk (UK).
The Class 745 EMU's were a direct replacement in early 2020 for the ageing 30 year old plus Class 90 electric locomotives and their slam door British Rail Mk3b coaches which previously worked the Norwich- London Liverpool Street express services..
745001 was built by Stadler Rail at their facility in Bussnang Switzerland as one of the Stadler 'FLIRT' (Fast Light Intercity and Regional Train) modular family of trainsets.
Note on the right the Victorian station architecture. Stowmarket station date back to 1846.

There's certainly no shortage of these HTI Mercedes-Benz ML-Class models in my collection as i've bought quite a lot of them over the years from various U.K. retailers who use them to be sold under their budget in house brands. I decided to get some more back in April as they were on special offer at Sainsbury's which made them ridiculously cheap, nearly half the price of a normal Hot Wheels! HTI have traditionally been a toy importer and most of their 1/64 models are unlicensed castings made by outsourced Chinese toy companies and thus aren't exclusive but this ML-Class and others appear to be made just for HTI. Its a licensed Daimler Benz product which is fairly unusual at this end of the market and does mean that although of course this is no high end product it is well cast and has good levels of external and indeed interior detailing including badging, grilles and lights. Mint and boxed.
An unidentified Petty Officer stands on top of capstan in this photo taken on the stern of one of the Illinois Class ( BB-7 - 9 ) Battleships, either the Illinois, Alabama or the Wisconsin.. Notice the distinctive twin funnel of the Illinois Class ships. it came from a personal album identified the photo as coming from USS Kearsarge BB-5 but Kearsarge has a unusual dual over and under turret and the standard in-line funnels. dates after 1910 in unknown location
