We wanted initially also to walk down the Schöllenen - but with rain and thunderstorm, we decided to take the train from Andermatt to Göschenen and then on with the TILO regio express. We were surprised to see just 4 minutes later an interregio train directly to Arth-Goldau and on to Basel.

De treindienstleider van het station van Pegern bestudeert nog even snel zijn ‘Fahrplananordnung (Fplo)’; het dagelijkse aanschrijven van de Österreichischen Bundesbahnen waarin de in afwijking van de normale dienstregeling rijdende treinen staan vermeld. Na de korte check of alles klopt, kan er toestemming voor vertrek worden gegeven. Over enkele ogenblikken zal de 298.102 met zijn GmP het station van Pegern verlaten, als laatste trein van de dag.

After working the Saint-Jude spur all morning, CN's Saint-Hyacinthe local is heading west to Southwark yard with veteran 4129 pulling two dozen cars. The high green on the south track is for SLR's train 394 returning from Southwark and headed towards Richmond on the old Grand Trunk line.
La BB75428 dans sa livrée FRET, est en tête d'une rame de wagons chargés de black pellets en provenance du port de Rouen et à destination du Bourget puis de la Compagnie Parisienne de Chauffage Urbain (CPCU) de St-Ouen-les-Docks. La rame est vue sur le groupe VI sous une belle lumière bien à l'heure.

CMQ's westbound road train glides into Foster, QC behind a trio of former CP SD40-2F's. This location was the site of a recent derailment, as evidenced by the new ballast and old ties in the ditch. Consist : CMQ 9011, CMQ 9020, CMQ 9010.
This is the last photo I made of a B-Logistics train. 10 days later, the company was rebranded to Lineas. It was all about the name then: we had to wait a few more days before the first Lineas styled locomotives would exit the workshop.
On a nice April evening, we see 1329 with mixed freight train 41898 on the way to Antwerp. It left Somain a few hours earlier.

The A 3/5 was the last passenger steam engine built for SBB, after this they switched to electric power. So not as big as in other countries, but still a beautiful design.
This railroad viaduct - Viaduc Sainte Marie, Ligne Chamonix - crosses over Rte 205 and the river Arve (hidden on the right side and flowing under the wide arch) in the French Alps near Mont Blanc. Arve flows into the Rhone at Geneve. The sign cautions against falling or fallen rocks for the next kilometer. We're on a divided highway where the opposing traffic is in a tunnel within the mountain to the left.
After the BASF train, it was out with the fun. It was one of only 2 trains in the sun. Rather unsatisfied, we headed towards the port of Antwerp to see if we could still do something cool.
THere was a train coming from the Krommenhoek yard hauled by Crossrail's PB 03, for which we found a spot for a low light photo. Right when the train entered the frame, a Lineas train from the opposite direction also entered the frame. Impossible to plan, but it turned out o so good.

(EN) 2044 001 has been operating for 35 years, the majority of which has been spent on passenger services around Varazdin. In November 2016 is the end, the locomotive will be withdrawn because of expired revisions and offered for sale. On the afternoon of 18/09/2015. 2044 001 presented itself in excellent condition hauling the regional train 3015 from Varazdin to Zagreb, seen on the long straight between the stop Hum-Lug and the station of Zabok.
(DE) Bereits 35 Jahre verrichtet 2044 001 ihren Dienst, den überwiegenden Teil der Laufzeit verbrachte sie im Personenverkehr rund um Varazdin. Im November 2016 wird definitiv Schluss sein, denn die Lokomotive scheidet wegen Fristablaufs aus dem Verkehr und wird vorraussichtlich zum Verkauf angeboten. Am Nachmittag des 18.09.2015. präsentierte sie sich im hervorragenden Zustand an der Spitze des Regionalzuges 3015 von Varazdin nach Zagreb, hier zu sehen auf der langen Gerade zwischen der Haltestelle Hum-Lug und dem Bahnhof von Zabok.
