Petit aperçu par une froide matinée d'une partie du relais diesel du dépôt d'Achères, où l'on aperçoit quelques types de locomotives diesels utilisés par les différentes activités de la SNCF côté Infrastructure, mais aussi au FRET. On y aperçoit la BB67275, des BB64600, des Y8000, des Y9000, et des BB60000.

Les BB 66000 (040 DG jusqu’au 31 décembre 1961) constituent une importante série de locomotives diesel de la SNCF.
Plusieurs autres séries ont été développées sur la même base : BB 66400, BB 66600, BB 66700, BB 69200 et BB 69400, ainsi que deux séries de deux prototypes, les BB 66691-66692, et BB 66901-66902.
● Description :
Les BB 66000 sont des locomotives diesel-électrique de ligne pour trafic mixte de voyageurs ou de marchandises. Elles sont couplables en unités multiples (UM). Elles sont dotées d’une transmission électrique et peuvent commander à distance un fourgon chaudière pour le chauffage vapeur des trains de voyageurs. À l’origine, les premières machines de série étaient limitées à la vitesse maximale de 105 km/h, puis elles ont été modifiées pour des marches à 120 km/h, les séries suivantes étant d’emblée autorisées à 120 km/h. Les deux premières séries arborèrent à l’origine une livrée bleu roi et jaune jonquille.
La première série, numérotée 040 DG 1 à 40, est livrée à partir de février 1960. Les engins sont renumérotés le 1er janvier 1962 en BB 66001 à BB 66040. La deuxième série, numérotée 040 DG 41 à 84, est livrée à partir d'avril 1961 et les engins sont devenus le 1er janvier 1962 les BB 66041 à BB 66084, puis BB 66085 à BB 66188. La troisième série, d'emblée numérotée BB 66189 à BB 66318 est livrée à partir de mars 1965..........

De 10-jarige OV-concessie van Veolia Transport Limburg loopt af op 10 december 2016. Vanaf dan zal Arriva de dienst gaan verzorgen op o.a. de Maaslijn Nijmegen - Venlo - Roermond. Treinstel 354 van het type Velios (een GTW van fabrikant Stadler) werd daarom nog maar eens vastgelegd op het fraaie station van Nijmegen.
In The Netherland the private operator Veolia will be replaced by Arriva as per 10 december 2016 amongst others on the railway line Nijmegen - Venlo - Roermond. DMU 354 (class GTW produced by Stadler and nicknamed Velios) of Veolia is spotted here at Nijmegen. In the background a double-decker EMU of the Dutch National Railways (NS) for an intercity service.

After doubling their train on this bitterly cold January morning, the crew of SLR train 393 to CN's Southwark yard is leaving Richmond, QC with 76 cars. The train is crossing the Saint-François river, which flows northwest through Drummondville to the St. Lawrence River. Consist : SLR 805, SLR 3004, QGRY 6904. Het was een ware verrassing om deze locomotief te zien passeren tijdens het wachten op onze trein. Deze locomotief is van origine gebouwd in de USSR (hedendaags Oekraïns grondgebied). Ondanks het oude uiterlijk is dit naar Sovjetgewoonte gewoon een design dat heel lang gebruikt werd onder het moto "why fix it if it isn't broken". Dit design kwam bij Luhanskteplovoz van de band gerold in 1979. En tegenwoordig ingeschreven in Letland. Dit is een van de prachtige dingen aan Hongarije, je kan er altijd wel iets speciaals vinden. Locomotieven van over heel Europa komen hier een tweede leven leven of komen gewoon tot hier.

A loaded auto train from Irapuato grinds uphill into Nopala de Villagrán, Hgo. behind a single ES44AC. The track at B-148+310 is lined with concrete ties in an effort to prevent train riding and theft by making it more difficult to get on and off the train.
I went today to the Bahnpark to do some work on our locomotives.
It was pretty cold with -3 degrees Celsius.

At night it's quiet in the port of Antwerp. Almost no trucks, no cars... but if you look well, you can find some trains. During one of the longest nights of the year, we found one at the small Lillo marshalling yard. The B-Logistics' crew was working hard to deliver the goods on time at a client's site. We had to hurry to get our photo's!

In the meanwhile, the date for me moving out of Antwerp was coming closer. With only a few months left, I wanted to make photos at some locations I'd had in mind for a while but never got to.
One of these locations was the station of Antwerpen Luchtbal. TUC RAIL recently replaced the bridges over the canal, south of the station, and in doing so created a nice unobstructed view.

A southbound Cartier ore train rumbles across the trestle at mile 68 of the South subdivision, between the sidings of Fox and Eva. Mad props to my dad DT and fellow railfan DF for helping make this happen. Consist : AMMC 9004, QCM 22, QCM 27 (rear DP).
The regional express trains cross each other at Filisur. Thanks to the single track, we had plenty of time to cross the field and set up our gear. 15 minutes after the previous train, we got train 1124 St. Moritz - Chur in front of our lenses.
