A northbound Ferrocarril del Istmo de Tehuantepec (FIT) train is rolling past the station at Calkiní with a pair of U23B's of NS and Southern heritage and an ex-UP B40-8. The FIT does not actually own locomotives and rents its fleet from Mexican companies Business Parts, PQ Logistics and Ferrovalle. U23B's were once the mainstay of this operation, but now only a handful remain in service. The town of Calkiní is the halfway point between the cities of Mérida and Campeche. There are defined maintenance windows in the Gotthard Base Tunnel (GBT). The night from Sunday to Monday is one of these windows were one or both lines will be closed down for maintenance. The crews are readying their trains in wet and already somber Sunday evening.
The crew is preparing their train for a long day out in the Patagonia desert.

It was today the first time this year that I went to Brugg for work.
Antwerp's Central Station was completely renovated at the beginning of the century. The historic dome and building were kept, underneath 3 new levels open to passengers were created: 1 with shops, 2 with platforms. Daylight can even reach the bottom level. On the top level, under the historic dome, the train from Mol has just arrived at its final stop. The driver will switch sides and prepare for the return trip.

Les BB 67200 sont des locomotives Diesel-électriques de la SNCF, issues de la transformation de BB 67000. Elles sont destinées à la circulation sur les lignes à grande vitesse françaises pour les travaux ou le secours des TGV en panne doté d'un attelage TGV ( Photographié à Lille Mont-de-terre )
Caractéristiques :
Sur la face avant côté extrémité 1, le marchepied frontal central est supprimé et un attelage Scharfenberg de secours y est installé pour secourir et tirer une rame de TGV en panne. À la suite de cela, les UM ne peuvent se faire que par l’extrémité 2.
Elles sont équipées suivant leur affectation soit de la TVM 300 soit de la TVM 430. Certaines sont également munies de l'attelage de secours de type BSI.
En 2016, SNCF Réseau missionne la société de location Akiem pour commander des engins en remplacement des BB 67200. C'est la BB 79000 (DE 18) de Vossloh qui est sélectionné, les livraisons commencent en 2019

The Class BB 67200 diesel locomotives of SNCF were adapted from BB 67000 locomotives.
History
With the opening of the LGV Sud-Est, thirty BB 67000 class locomotives were fitted with cab signalling and radio to operate ballast trains and for use in an emergency on the high speed lines. For the latter purpose they were fitted with a Scharfenberg coupler at one end to enable them to be attached to a TGV rake. Initially the class was based at Nevers.[1] A further 50 locomotives were subsequently converted.

À l'heure actuelle, ils font un travail d'amélioration, tant à l'extérieur et à l'intérieur. La photo montre le côté nord de l'entrée où le mur a été restauré montrant le bouclier de la France.

1 April 2025 – Eforie, Constanța County, Romania
EN - Along the quiet swathe of track between Tuzla and Eforie Sud, near the waters of Balta Tuzla and just inland from the Black Sea, two unlikely neighbors share a fleeting moment.
One sits silently on dry land—an old patrol boat, rusted with age yet still brightened by murals of the sun, waves, and summer motifs. Elevated on concrete blocks as a roadside monument, it is one of two nearly identical vessels placed along this stretch of coast. Here, on the route that links Constanța and Mangalia, the boat feels less like a relic and more like a decorative reminder of seaside holidays, when these beaches are crowded with summer visitors. It echoes of maritime heritage in this region.
Behind it, a blue diesel railcar hums through the frame, the R8384 local train, traveling from Mangalia to Constanța. This is a Malaxa Series 78 railcar, the unit #779, built in 1939 in Nicolae Malaxa’s Romanian workshops. Once celebrated as modern and elegant, these railcars are now among the oldest passenger units still in operation for CFR Călători. Few remain, and their survival on daily services is both improbable and remarkable, when newer rolling stock is unavailable.
Together, the scene is a juxtaposition of stillness and movement: a ship that will never sail again, painted in bright seaside colors, and a train that, against all odds, continues to roll along the Black Sea coast. One is time anchored; the other, time in motion.

FR - La scène se situe en Roumanie, à proximité de Constanța, près de la mer Noire, précisément entre Tuzla et Eforie Sud. Le bateau a été posé là comme monument décoratif. Derrière lui passe un train régulier Mangalia – Constanța, le R8384 des CFR. C’est un ancien autorail Malaxa série 78 construit en 1939. Le plan d’eau en arrière-plan est un lac, le Balta Tuzla.

Posing for a grab shot! I'd made my way to Thiviers, a little town in Nouvelle-Aquitaine as I'd worked out the odd freight visited the quarry there. As I arrived, I spotted this Alsthom Prima BB75000 running light off the quarry line back towards the station for overnight stabling.
The loco is 475425, a BoBo diesel electric locomotive around 15 years old and built by Alsthom and Siemens as part of an order for 400 such locomotives by SNCF. It has probably worked a consist of stone wagon empties into the quarry from Bordeaux Hourcade, but I can't be sure, Friday 5.8.22

The A 3/5 705 takes the curve for ascending towards Bözberg with its mixed freight and passenger train. I hoped for a better sight on the bridge, but also this one got ugly noise protections attached.
