This is showing the Ks 1 + Zs 3v proceed reduced speed aspect

These are some drawings of some basic German railway signal aspects.

(As far as I know I've drawn the correctly, but if not let me know!)

Retour vers Toulouse-Matabiau à bord de la double rame TER 871484.

Sortie de la gare de Pamiers (Ariège).

An eastbound manifest rolls across the bridge spanning the Genesee river at Rochester's iconic High Falls. Consist : CSXT 533, CSXT 9006, CSXT 4307.

Time passed quickly, and before we knew it the sun was hiding behind the high peaks of the Alps. On of the spots where we would have some decent light left, was the viaduct at Intschi. From this viewpoint, you mostly see photos from earlier during the day. I think it looked good at this time also.

We were especially happy when this train passed us: the Railcare train from Chiasso to Hunzenschwil, hauled by a Re465 locomotive rented from BLS.

CMQ's westbound road freight is passing mile 124 of the Sherbrooke subdivision and only has about 1.5 mile to go to Brookport, where the line meets the Newport and Adirondack subdivisions. Consist : CMQ 9011, CMQ 9022, CMQ 9010.

For the last train of the day, I chose this viewpoint from on top of a bridge in Noyelles-sur-Mer.

The plains in the back lead to the famous natural reserve Baie de Somme.

The Amiens - Boulogne line looks promising. I've seen some interesting spots that I'll definitely try when I have some time to go out there again. I'm thinking of the high viewpoint in Liercourt, for example.

As for this trip, I still checked out the beach at Boulogne-sur-Mer to mark the end of the day. Along with a short visit to the railway station.

Our small steam train having arrived in Göschenen.

The steam locomotive will uncouple, run around the train and then run backwards down to Erstfeld. Additionally a Re 6/6 will be attached at the end to provide electric braking for the train.

Back to our regular programming... Central Maine and Quebec's eastbound road freight rolls east between Stukely and Eastman with a solid quartet of former CP "barns" pulling 67 cars. Consist : CMQ 9020, CMQ 9010, CMQ 9023, CMQ 9021.

About an hour after leaving Farnham yard, Central Maine and Quebec's eastbound road freight is crawling through a slow order around mile 111, just past the town of Bromont. The track here is still made of stick rail, which might explain the slower running. Consist : CMQ 9020, CMQ 9010, CMQ 9023, CMQ 9021.

Avalanche Control. On April 9, 2014, I photographed a pair of Canadian Pacific SD40-2’s (5907 and 5999) idling in Field yard, at the bottom of CP’s Big Hill. I have no recollection of ever taking this photo, and found it while looking for something else. Do you ever stumble upon gems when looking back at your photos several years down the road?

Coronavirus Foam: The Mile 42 Chronicles, part VI. After a trip down the Bécancour and Drummondville subdivisions, engineer ZBS and her conductor are lifting the day's production out of Saint-Hyacinthe out of track E130 for forwarding to Taschereau yard. Their lift includes a massive boiler built by Indeck at their Saint-Hyacinthe plant, which lies about a mile north of the Saint-Jude spur. Consist : CN 5668, CN 8014.

SV "WOWQ09" Marne la Vallée - Chessy > Torcy garage

Shot at Harrison Mills, BC.

It was getting darker and darker. The clouds had finally won the battle with the sun. Only one bundle of rays of sunshine enlighted the forest behind the viaduct of Besnard. While I kept on hoping on some sunshine at the right time on the right spot, it soon became clear that the nice part of the day was over. The train to Paris passed in difficult light conditions, especially for a distant shot like this. The bright colors of the viaduct, and the grey train, luckily stand out in front of the dark forest in the background.

Rather early in the day it was done with scheduled loco-hauled passenger trains around Horna Stubna. This was the opportunity to travel north a bit, led by my photo companions of the day, to explore a bit of the busy mainline between Zilina and Presov.

They showed me the area around Svosov, where an old station building is still standing. The cross on the right is a plus, as was the soft evening light.

South of Airolo we found another nice spot, and as always we waited for some freight trains to pass. One of the 3 we saw was carrying Winner Spedition trailers from Wuppertal to Piacenza; a 937km trip by car.

Not all people find sitting next to the water and waiting for a train a relaxing way of spending your time. Take for exaple the people on the right of the photo, wondering what the weird guy (me, in this case) is doing just waiting there. Never mind, I took my time looking for a viewpoint north of the Pont des Allemands, on the left bank of the Maas river, and stuck with this one.

Transilien P Château-Thierry > Paris Est

Place du 11 novembre 1918 06/04/2008 12h59

Due to the arrival of the TGV Est in 2007 this station has undergone a métamorphose and also the square in front (le parvis) has been paved again. A place to be again!

Gasteiz Power! ¡Vitoria es capital! ;DDD

Un puntazo. Muchas gracias.

After grabbing its train prepared by the early morning RCO operator, a WNYP crew is leaving Olean yard for a short trip to the BPRR in Salamanca. Consist : WNYP 637, WNYP 630, WNYP 638.

They heated it up pretty well for the inspection later this day.

The Re 620 061 is rather dark on the sides - nearly black. So you still see the "cargo" signature, but it is more black than blue.

Here the locomotive brings a short train with special cars for premounted switches into Brugg.
