Bien le bonjour,
Petite sortie dans le Val d'Oise du côté de Louvres et son célèbre champs bien vert pour le fameux Ouigo belge.
La VECTRON de type HLE 18, plus précisément la 56-ème de la série, est vu en tête de voitures I11 OUIGO et NMBS (SNCB), à pleine balle sous une belle lumière matinale pour Bruxelles Midi depuis Paris Nord sous le train OUIGO classique n°63.
A noter que c'est la première fois que je choppe ce train sous d'aussi belles conditions car les précédentes tentatives furent euh? comment dire? Assez laborieuses.

Hello there,
A quick trip to the Val d'Oise, near Louvres and its famous green fields, for the renowned Belgian Ouigo.
The HLE 18-type VECTRON, specifically the 56th in the series, is seen at the head of I11 OUIGO and NMBS (SNCB) carriages, travelling at full speed in beautiful morning light towards Brussels Midi from Paris Nord, pulling the classic OUIGO train No. 63.
It’s worth noting that this is the first time I’ve managed to catch this train in such good conditions, as previous attempts were, er… how shall I put it? Rather laborious.

This train’s colours do look good between the autumn leaves, looks like it was always foreseen to be this way. The view would be gone quickly, followed by another 2 hours of silence in the quiet Amblève valley.

Le 26 Avril était un jour des plus spécial avec L'AAATVCVL qui s'est vu offert un voyage pour la baie de la Somme, avec en titulaire, un oiseau rare de la scène ferroviaire suite à l'indisponibilité de leur locomotive symbolique, L'A1A A1A 68540.pour passage aux nouveaux feux LED, indispensable pour rouler sur le réseau.
C'est alors dans le célèbre coin de Louvres, dans le Val d'Oise, sous un ciel semi voilé mais assez lumineux, qu'est vu la belle CC 72074, dernière représente à porter la livrée En Voyage sur ce type de locomotive, en tête d'une rame historique remplie pour Boulogne Ville depuis la gare des Aubrais en région Centre.
Un grand merci à l'équipe entière pour la circulation; l'organisation ainsi que l'ambiance conviviale retranscrite de ce magnifique train touristique d'une autre époque,

26 April was a very special day for the AAATVCVL, which was treated to a trip to the Baie de la Somme, featuring a rare sight on the railway scene following the unavailability of their iconic locomotive, the A1A 68540, due to the switch to new LED signals, which are essential for running on the network.
It was then in the famous Louvres area, in the Val d’Oise, under a partly cloudy but fairly bright sky, that the beautiful CC 72074 was spotted – the last of its kind to bear the ‘En Voyage’ livery on this type of locomotive – at the head of a historic, fully loaded train bound for Boulogne-Ville, having departed from Les Aubrais station in the Centre region.
A big thank you to the whole team for the running of the train; the organisation and the friendly atmosphere captured on this magnificent tourist train from a bygone era,

Un Minuetto di Trentino Trasporti effettua il Regionale 16931 (Trento - Borgo Valsugana Est) del 20 dicembre 2024. La foto mostra il treno qualche minuto dopo la sua partenza da Trento mentre percorre il viadotto "Gocciadoro".

Le 12 Septembre était un jour à ne pas manquer! Y avait un train spécial assuré en BB 75300 mais en attendant, on devait s'occuper avec les autres circulations antérieurs à ce dernier comme ce FRET.
Alors que le soleil se lève tranquillement, la vaillante TRAXX E 186 345, portant encore la livrée de l'ancienne entreprise ferroviaire Euro Cargo Rail qui aujourd'hui, est devenue DB Cargo France, est à la traction de wagons cargos, passant le célèbre coin de spot de Chamigny en direction Forbach depuis le triage de Vaires-Torcy.

12 September was a day not to be missed! There was a special train operated by BB 75300, but in the meantime, we had to keep ourselves busy with other trains running before it, such as this freight train.
As the sun rose slowly, the valiant TRAXX E 186 345, still bearing the livery of the former railway company Euro Cargo Rail, now DB Cargo France, pulled freight wagons past the famous Chamigny spot towards Forbach from the Vaires-Torcy marshalling yard.

Retour au 7 avril avec ce convoi exceptionnel grâce à la locomotive d'un autre type.
Nous sommes à la sortie de la commune de Citry sur Marne et, par extension, celle de l'Ile de France, dans ce célèbre coin bien connu des trainspotteurs sous un magnifique soleil déclinant.
Avant le fameux TM de vielles locomotives de LA CMR avec les deux CC 72000, y'avait d'abord cet acheminement de TGV M (La rame 1013 au complet) parti de Nançois-Tronville pour Vaires Torcy sous le n°444610, le tout mené par une DE 18 de chez Rail Adventure.
Comme quoi, tout peut arriver au bon moment!

Back to 7 April with this special convoy, powered by a different locomotive.
We are on the outskirts of Citry-sur-Marne and, by extension, the Île-de-France region, in this famous spot well known to trainspotters, bathed in the magnificent light of the setting sun.
Before the famous CMR vintage locomotive run featuring the two CC 72000s, there was first this TGV M service (the full 1013 train) which had departed from Nançois-Tronville bound for Vaires Torcy under number 444610, the whole thing hauled by a DE 18 from Rail Adventure.
Just goes to show, anything can happen at just the right moment!

Day 6, our last full day in Morocco! We started in Nador, where we ended up last night in our search for a hotel. The hotel was good so we started the day all refreshed. This line was our last hope to see a DF 100 locomotive in action. Somewhere we had read that these locomotives run freight trains here.
Well, all we got to see was a quite modern railway line with large, seemingly abandoned stations, and not so dense passenger train traffic. As the stations were unmanned, we have no idea if freight trains ever ride on this line.
We concentrated on the few passenger trains to and from Aït Nsar, next to the Spanish enclave Melilla, as the rail line was rather scenic.

Retour au mois de mars, dans le coin que j'ai déjà cité un millier de fois, sous un magnifique soleil pré printanier.
Voici l'attraction du moment avec cette acheminement CMR, composés de deux belles BB 67400, la sixième de la série, en livrée dite "En Voyage" et, de surcroit, la plus vieille des survivantes, en tête du convoi et sa petite sœur, la deux cent quinzième, pratiquement d'origine, en véhicule.
Ces deux locomotives diesels, sont à la traction de voitures Corails de différentes activités, sur le train VSG triage / Culmont Chalindrey pour démolition.
A noter la présence de la voiture "La Rochelle" dans le lot, taguée malheureusement.
Je me souviens l'avoir eu 8 ans auparavant, sur un intercité pour Brive depuis Paris et rien d'autre, quelle tristesse.

Back in March, in the area I’ve mentioned a thousand times before, under a glorious early spring sun.
Here’s the highlight of the moment: this CMR service, comprising two fine BB 67400 locomotives – the sixth in the series, in the so-called ‘En Voyage’ livery and, what’s more, the oldest of the surviving examples – leading the train, and its little sister, the 215th, practically in its original condition, bringing up the rear.
These two diesel locomotives are hauling Corail carriages for various purposes on the VSG marshalling yard / Culmont Chalindrey train bound for scrapping.
Note the presence of the ‘La Rochelle’ carriage in the mix, which has unfortunately been tagged.
I remember seeing it eight years ago on an Intercité service from Paris to Brive – and that’s all I remember. How sad.

Le 24 avril fût normal sur la PCLM, des Corails et autres automotrices de chez TER Centre pour leurs destinations attitrées.
J'aperçois alors la belle BB 7281 Béton, à Paris Montparnasse, prête à effectuer le fameux TER n°862527 pour Le Mans, encore assuré par des rames Corails et Nez Cassé et franchement, que demander de plus.
Je me dirige alors dans la commune de Les Essarts le Roi, dans les Yvelines, afin de la cliquer sur ce coin, bien vert et méconnu, uniquement faisable en fin d'après-midi de ce côté.
C'est effectivement à l'heure, avec quelques frayeurs quand même vu que ça a failli croisé avec un transilien N, vers 17h35 que cette dernière est capturée sous un magnifique soleil printanier, ce qui, à mon humble avis, conclura cette belle et réjouissante journée.
A noter le nettoyage appliqué sur la locomotive, en retouche, afin de l'embellir comme il se doit.

Good evening / good morning,
24 April was a normal day on the PCLM line, with Corail and other TER Centre multiple units heading for their usual destinations.
I then spotted the beautiful BB 7281 ‘Béton’ at Paris Montparnasse, ready to run the famous TER No. 862527 for Le Mans, still operated by Corail and ‘Nez Cassé’ trains – and frankly, what more could you ask for?
I then headed to the village of Les Essarts-le-Roi, in the Yvelines, to photograph it in this lush, little-known spot, which is only accessible from this side in the late afternoon.
It was indeed on time, though there were a few scares as it nearly crossed paths with a Transilien N train; at around 5.35 pm, it was captured under a magnificent spring sun, which, in my humble opinion, brought this beautiful and delightful day to a close.
Note the careful cleaning of the locomotive, retouched to make it look its best.

In het eerste weekeinde van september 2020 ging ‘De Kameel’ op pad.; het voormalige directievoertuig van de Nederlandse Spoorwegen dat tegenwoordig in het bezig is van het Nationaal Spoorwegmuseum. Vrijdag de 4e werd er vanaf de thuisbasis aan de Utrechtse Maliebaan naar de werkplaats in Eindhoven gereden voor een onderhoudsbeurt. Zondag stond er een conditierit op het programma die vanaf Eindhoven via Venlo, Nijmegen, Arnhem, Zutphen, Apeldoorn en Amersfoort naar Utrecht voerde.
Stipt op tijd passeerde het fraaie motorrijtuig de Amersfoortse Koppelpoort. Op de foto is te zien dat de zomer op zijn einde loopt en de herfst nabij is. Op de achtergrond beginnen de Kastanjebomen langzaam te verkleuren. En op het terras van restaurant Dara is het publiek inmiddels gehuld in kleding met lange mouwen.
Bovenop het restaurant is overigens de tekst ‘Welkom in Alkmaar’ te lezen. Iedere maand komt er op het bord een nieuwe poëtische tekst. De boodschap die hierop staat wordt bepaald door bezoekers van de website die in het beheer is van de stichting Tekst is Oppermachtig. Afgelopen maand won ‘Welkom in Alkmaar’ met een grote meerderheid en dit kwam vooral omdat inwoners van Almaar op deze suggestie stemden.

The photo in Parkstein Hütten was a fact, but would we make it for the second freight? This one came from Hof and would bend west towards Nürnberg south of Weiden. I had found a location on the map where the sun would be positioned nicely. We weren't certain it would be a good photo location, but it was our best option.
Once arrived the location turned out to be decent. If now the sun would participate. The cloud cover was growing and growing, so that was going to become a thriller.
A local photographer was not expecting the train yet, but we kept our gear ready to shoot as the sun's position was ideal. You never know. We were rewarded because a reasonable time after the passenger train passing in the opposite direction, we noticed a rumble. It grew louder quickly and passed us on the perfect moment. Success x2.

Laat in de zaterdagmiddag brengt de Cockerill-locomotief nog enige ketelwagens naar de spooraansluiting. Als een voerman op zijn wagen staat de machinist voorop de kleine machine met staande stoomketel. De visser geniet al van het weekendverlof, zijn zesdaagse werkweek zit erop. Hij is met zijn deftige Oldsmobile naar zijn favoriete vistek gereden om daar een hengeltje uit te werpen. Zal er vanavond een zoetwatervisje op het menu staan?

L'E86 ET 16 "Malé" espleta il Treno 310 (Trento - Mezzolombardo) dello scorso 19 febbraio. L'immagine mostra la Bianchina poco prima della fermata di Trento Nord - Zona Commerciale, nei pressi dell'inizio del tratto a doppio scartamento, sotto una bella nevicata.

Retour dans le mois de Février de cette année avec ce convoi assez spécial.
Passage à faible vitesse, dans des conditions particulièrement difficiles, des BB 67226, 67253 et l7210 possédant les couleurs de l'emprise, en tête de l'INFRA Lizy-sur-Ourcq stockage / VSG triage dans la commune de Isles-les-Meldeuses en Seine et Marne sur la célèbre ligne 2 Paris / Reims.
Composé de plusieurs ballastières vides, après des travaux sur LGV Est, cet ensemble pour le moins insolite, est saisie de jour, ce qui a rendu sa capture des plus réjouissantes malgré les nuages.

Let’s go back to February this year with this rather special convoy.
Travelling at low speed, in particularly difficult conditions, BB 67226, 67253 and L7210 – painted in the railway’s livery – lead the INFRA Lizy-sur-Ourcq storage / VSG marshalling yard train in the commune of Isles-les-Meldeuses in Seine-et-Marne on the famous Paris–Reims Line 2.
Consisting of several empty ballast wagons, following works on the LGV Est high-speed line, this rather unusual formation was photographed in daylight, which made capturing the shot all the more enjoyable despite the clouds.

The first week of august was hot, incredibly hot, in the Alsace region. After a short night I decided that it was time to get up early and enjoy the cool morning temperatures along the tracks. Well, a little before 7am I was standing next to the tracks in only a t-shirt. At least temperature was still bearable.
Of course I got to see some trains: lots of vintage stuff like TGV Réseau and Sybic locomotives, but the banger came at the end: an empty car train from Busto Arsizio to Gent-Zeehaven. This would have been a good train to hitchhike back home.

During the wait at Pontebba, the rail line was cleared again after the infrastructure works. It didn't make sense to stay there, though, as the line in tunnels offers only little possibilities. I decided to head to the flats south of the Alps, hoping for freights against the mountain backdrop.
Spot-on when I arrived at Tricesimo. Not only was there the mountain backdrop, it was also very sunny, warm, and I got one freight after the other. 8 in 1,5 hours, to be more precise. I selected 1 photo to show here, but more will be visible on railscapes.blog when I get the day's report out.

Strekov castle is a famous landmark in the Elbe river valley, dating from 1316. It is one of railway photographers' favorite subjects in Usti Nad Labem. I had to go check it out of course, and in the course of an hour or so got quite a few cargo trains.

Un 21 mai ensoleillé, plutôt calme et pas de FRET où du moins, pas au bon moment mais, y a des rames Corails c'est déjà ça.
Parmi les R2N, Corails IC et TER sur le PO, passage furtif dans le célèbre coin de Monnerville, de la BB 22324 OUIGO, en tête de sept voitures dont une encore Carmillon pour Nantes, depuis Paris Austerlitz sur le train OTC n°4085
A noter que les deux dernière voitures sont vandalisées et honnêtement, quelle tristesse.de voir autant de laxisme car le rendu de la photo, aurait pu être meilleur.

A sunny 21 May, fairly quiet and no freight trains—or at least, none at the right time—but there are some Corail services, so that’s something.
Among the R2N, Corail IC and TER trains on the PO line, a fleeting sighting in the famous Monnerville area of BB 22324 OUIGO, leading seven carriages – one of which is still a Carmillon – bound for Nantes, from Paris Austerlitz on OTC train no. 4085
It’s worth noting that the last two carriages have been vandalised, and honestly, it’s such a shame to see such a lack of care, as the photo could have turned out much better.

Première photo de la BB 22378 dans sa nouvelle robe FrenchBerry, ça se partage non!
La soirée du 7 juin, alors que le soleil se couche progressivement, laissant place à la vie nocturne dans la célèbre dalle de gare d'Austerlitz, cette rame Corail de nuit s'apprête à se lancer dans un long périple de plusieurs centaines de kilomètres vers Tarbes depuis PAZ sous le numéro 3740 en V160.
A noter que la star équipé du TVM430, indispensable pour rouler sous LGV, n'effectuera que la partie jusqu'à Bordeaux, n'étant pas apte au caténaire Midi qui est présent sur le reste du parcours et donc, par conséquent, sera repris par une BB 7200.
L'objectif sera maintenant, de la chopper en ligne comme sa sœur, la 22379 à la livrée proto BB 20011 (chose faite), sous du soleil bien évidemment.

Here’s the first photo of BB 22378 in its new FrenchBerry livery – it’s definitely worth sharing, isn’t it!
On the evening of 7 June, as the sun gradually sets, giving way to nightlife on the famous Austerlitz station forecourt, this Corail night train is preparing to set off on a long journey of several hundred kilometres to Tarbes from PAZ, running as service 3740 in V160 mode.
It’s worth noting that this star train, fitted with the TVM430 – essential for running on high-speed lines – will only cover the section up to Bordeaux, as it isn’t compatible with the Midi catenary system used on the rest of the route; consequently, it will be taken over by a BB 7200.
The aim now is to spot it on the line, just like its sister locomotive, the 22379 in the BB 20011 prototype livery (which has already been done), in the sunshine, of course.
