En Février 2016, la BB 7373 béton tractait une composition entière d’hydrocarbures en provenance de Saint-Jory pour Miramas, le convoi est vu à Manduel peu après Nîmes dans un paysage froid d’hiver entre nuages et rayons de soleil.

Een overbrengingsrit van het spoorwegmuseum in Utrecht naar Blerick was een mooie gelegenheid om het stroomlijnpostrijtuig Pec 8502 te fotograferen, ingeklemd tussen twee andere museumtreinstellen. Het was even rekenen: de lengte van Mat'46 273 is 45 m + Pec 8502 van 24 m + Mat'54 386 van 51 m = totaal 120 meter. Dat moest dus passen op de spoorbrug over de Lek bij Culemborg van 155 meter ..... en, jawel. De Pec 8502 uit 1938 reed voor het laatst in de gewone dienst bij de NS als Pe 1902 welke ik een week voor buitendienststelling op 21-09-1979 nog fotografeerde - foto aangehecht in het eerste commentaar hieronder. 44 jaar geleden ... ik word oud.

 

A transfer from the Dutch national railway museum in Utrecht to a depot in Blerick was spotted at the bridge crossing the river Lek near Culemborg. In the middle of the heritage train was the mail trailer Pec 8502 from 1938 which I spotted as well - numbered as 1902 - during its last week in regular service in 1979 - picture attached in the first comment below.

In the blue hours of the day, a while before sunrise, we distinguish a train riding through the misty mountains. It's the regional express train from Chur to St. Moritz - riding past 2 frozen photographers. Ge 6/6 II n° 651 is hauling the train. One can notice a blue gourmino restaurant car - breakfast anyone? - in the middle of the train and first class panoramic coaches at the end of the consist.

Life is for the early wakers - I should make a habit of it.

A former CN GP40 is right at home leading Richmond-Southwark train 393 into mile 50 of CN's Saint-Hyacinthe subdivision. At the rear of the train is an empty LBFX rail train. Consist : QGRY 3014, SLR 3035, RLHH 3403, SLR 3804, SLR 805.

Alors que les BB 26000 en livrée béton commencent à se faire de plus en plus rares dans le paysage ferroviaire français, voici un cliché datant du 14 Février 2019, où la BB 26217 assurait une des relations fret habituelles entre Sibelin et Miramas. Le convoi est vu de passage à Graveson en milieu de journée.

It took a lot longer than expected to get to my hotel close to Zilina, Slovakia. The road was narrow, full of curves and rather busy. I did enjoy, though, and I enjoyed the warm dish and the spacious room at the hotel even more. The next day, I had planned a day on the non-electrified railway lines around Horna Stubna, hoping to see some of the 754-series locomotives in action. And who knows, maybe even a "Bardotka" with a freight train.

Not knowing what to expect, I just went to the station of Klastor Pod Znievom where I was lucky enough to catch 754 020 hauling a train to Horna Stubna. A very good start of the day!

Het spoorwegstation Rotterdam Stadion - geopend in 1937 - wordt normaliter alleen gebruikt bij voetbalwedstrijden en evenementen in De Kuip. In het weekend van 24-25 juni 2023 eindigden hier echter de reguliere treinen uit het zuiden in verband met werkzaamheden te Rotterdam Centraal. Nu de toegangshekken geopend waren was dit een mooie gelegenheid hier de infra vast te leggen.

 

Zeer klassiek (en vermoedelljk uniek) is de treinaanwijzer met de verlichte neonletters van de sporen 'SP 3A', 'SP 4A’ en bestemming 'Dordrecht'. De bediening hiervan gebeurt vanuit het duiventil-achtige verblijf op de loopbrug. Overdag brandden meerdere bestemmingen naar het zuiden maar ik was blij dat bij zonsondergang niet alles al uitgeschakeld was.

 

The Dutch railway station Rotterdam Stadion is normally only used during football matches and events at the nearby stadium. However, on the weekend of 24-25 June 2023, trains from the south ended here due to works at Rotterdam Central. This was a great opportunity to capture the infrastructure here for a change.

 

Very classic (and presumably unique) is the surviving train indicator with the illuminated neon letters of the tracks 'SP 3A', 'SP 4A' and destination 'Dordrecht'. During the day, several other destinations to the south were manually lit but I was glad that by sunset not everything was already switched off.
