My wife bought me a fixed gear bike for my birthday. Took it out for the first time today when we cycled to Lake Ginninderra for a picnic lunch...
In late April, Samantha and I were at a birthday party for my nephew. The night before our friends informed us they would be at Bauhaus Brew Labs that evening and that we should stop by. Conveniently, my sister lives in Northeast Minneapolis and it was a quick drive to their taproom.

Raspberry sour ale by Avery Brewing. This is a pretty good sour ale. I think you have to have acquired a taste for sour beer to appreciate this one. Not sure if I'm there yet. It seemed pretty sour to me. I still enjoyed the whole bomber! I will try it again sometime.

At 2 o'clock we were scheduled for a tour at the famous American craft brewery Anchor Brewing Company, in the Potrero Hill neighborhood of San Francisco. The brewery was founded as early as 1896 but has made its biggest impact on the world of beer in the last 30 years.

The Old Cannon in Cannon St., Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, occupies the buildings of the former St. Edmund's Head. Like many Victorian pubs, it had its own brewery alongside. Brewing ceased, I think, in the 1910s and Greene King bought the pub, from Flowers brewery, in 1958. Closed in 1994, it reopened ten years ago when, appropriately, a new plant was installed within the premises and drinkers and diners now sit amongst the polished equipment. The old brewhouse has been incorporated as bed & breakfast accommodation.

Coffee has become one of the most popular beverages throughout last centuries.
