There is nothing better than a fresh brewed Espresso and a good book...

(Vintage Steinheil Cassar 2.8 50 mm with Pentacon 10mm on Sony A7RII)

aside from some marmite daffodil interludes, I'm devoting this week here at Flickr to some people and a place I stumbled into and have fallen in love with.

Hopefully, I've got enough to tell their story... (eek :-))

For Macro Mondays - Tea

The corner of a tea bag in a tea cup full of boiled water. Since Louise moved to Sydney we don't have any loose leaf tea in the house. Coffee being the preferred drink.

Happy Macro Monday!

This is San Gimignano (Tuscany, Italy), known for its famous towery silhouette, it is therefore also known as the Town of Fine Towers.

For Macro Mondays - Brew

Coffee and sugar, all that is needed now is the boiling water!

Happy Macro Monday!

A Yorkshire Brew. Sometimes when you can't make a photograph work, it's all too easy to forget that you're somewhere so beautiful. :-)

Fun robot sculpture located at BrainDead Brewing in the Deep Ellum district of Dallas TX. Shot this while visiting our daugher and son-in-law in 2020. We enjoyed great food and beverages there, and sadden to learn that it permanently closed recently.

Thunderstorms forming near Red Cloud Nebraska.

Sunrise never quite got there this morning but it looked so promising at one point, still like the mood in this one

Last of the light pulls the turbulent waters ever closer.

As distant storms brew in the North sea, menacingly approaching our calmness.

Macro Mondays: Brew

Ahhh! The start of the morning cappuccino :)

HMM & every other morning :)

Thankfully it skirted us, so no soaking this time.

The River Arno in Florence with the dome of Santo Spirito behind of the city's many cranes!

I'm now 'back in circulation' so will be doing some catching up over the next couple of days....

The Old Malt House, Markyate, Hertfordshire. Before the coming of the railway, the village was an important stop for everybody travelling between London and the Midlands. There were hotels and dozens of pubs and brew houses (such as this one). What is left today are three pubs and their survival is not guaranteed.

The coffee blend in these capsules is called "Venezia", homage to a beautiful, unique city that I love so much. I chose golden light because it reminds me the mosaics in San Marco’s cathedral in Venice. Happy Macro Monday

A cup of Earl Grey, drunk from a 67 year old bone china cup with Cadbury's salted caramel chocolate. Bliss!

An old but very decayed brewery
