(August 15, 2013) On this 3 brewery evening, I visited Jack's Abby (2 growlers Hoponius), Idle Hands (a growler of Pandora Belgian Pale Ale), and Night Shift, who brew very creatively, but have no particular beer I can more than taste.
That said, this is a fine beer destination in the Boston area, as Idle Hands and Night Shift (both nanos) are side by side (in an industrial park) and very receptive to tours and sampling. Both are Belgian-bent.

This stream carries lots of tannins from the woods, making the water the color of brewed tea. It can be seen entering Lake Michigan in the next photo.

Orlando Brewing is the local beer. These hand-crafted organic ales and lagers are already available in select bars and restaurants across Central Florida. Many more are coming aboard. And, of course, you can always wet your whistle right here at the Tap Room.
Orlando Brewing is Florida’s only certified organic brewery. What does it mean to be organic? It means that ingredients used in crafting our ales are grown without insecticides, bioengineering, or irradiation.
Orlando Brewing brews in accordance with the German Purity Law of 1516. That means we use only natural, organic ingredients.

He was a most cooperative worker all the while my focus was multitasked, as I was also aware of the reflection in the picture.
For our last day in Seattle Heather wanted to take a Duck Ride - it is very touristy and corny, but I went along with her. It was a blast. It's a converted amphibious vehicle that takes you on a tour of some Seattle neighborhoods and also out on Lake Union. Heather really liked the driver because he had almost as many hats as she does. After the ride we went to the Pike Brewing Company near the Pike Street Market for lunch. Good place - and it's also like a beer museum.
I took these photos in September 2014.

A friend gave me some cold brewed coffee to try for the 1st time and I liked it. So I thought I'd give it a try with some of the home roast #12, Rwanda Nyungwe A.
This is 50g of coffee steeping in 500ml of rain water. I'll let it sit for 12+hrs at room temperature then filter it through a coffee filter paper.
