I don't have a fluted tube pan or whatever the heck it is called, so now it's just layered bacon bread. :)
It's 2 layers of buttermilk biscuits spread out evenly and sprinkled with a mixture of chopped bacon, mozarella cheese, and italian dressing mix and olive oil.
From my new favorite book, "Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day".
I added parmigiano reggiano and roasted garlic to the basic olive bread recipe. Yummy.

UFO’s, planets, flames, mooncraterlounges, bumpercars, and an awesome X shaped mega main stage…

After a few miserable attempts at making basic white sandwich bread, I finally made a loaf that tasted pretty good. I was beginning to think that I couldn't activate yeast and keep it alive.
UPDATE: we've been eating this loaf and it's been rather good. the boy and i each had a piece of toast. it smelled wonderful and tasted good too. the girl made a pb&j with it and the boy had a turkey sandwich and both reported that it tasted pretty good. so, i'm pleased. i still think it ended up a little dense and not quite as light and airy as i would prefer.
