Nella Russia di oggi, questa tradizione è ancora popolare.
Gli ospiti vengono accolti da donne in costume nazionale dai colori bianco e rosso con una grande pagnotta rotonda su un asciugamano e una saliera . L’ospite dovrebbe staccare con attenzione un pezzo di pane, immergerlo nel sale e mangiarlo: questo indica l’inizio di un’amicizia .

Baguette-like, but closer to those European country loaves. Can be made into many shapes. Slashing loaves is fun.
I came upon Hershey (front) and Rosie while cross country skiing today in nearby conservation land. They were romping about in the deep snow, like me. Their dad gave me a piece of bread to keep their attention, which was very affective.
