Delicious, delicious bread. Nom.

My second attempt at making miso bread. Basically, for now, I'm just adding miso paste to the recipe detailed in this NY Times article. My first attempt was okay, but not quite what I wanted. This time I doubled the amount of miso (4 table spoons) and lowered the temperature slightly.

This is what the Strawberry Bread recipe looks like before it's entirely mixed. Delicious stuff, and the recipe can be seen on my website, Sweetnicks. Our 3-1/2 year old son loves this one, along with Nigella's Banana Bread and Mom's Cranberry Bread.

On the weekends, my daughter likes to have either pancakes or French toast, so I figured I would take an afternoon this past Saturday, and make some Challah bread for French toast on Sunday morning.

This bread looks very impressive, but it really was very simple to put together. The most difficult part of all of this, was waiting for the dough to rise! That doesn't sound too hard, does it?

Tried a new recipe today... spelt and hazelnuts! Very yummy!

Irish Oatmeal Bread. Another good one.. This one I overdid the high gluten flour (aded a cup), so it ended up slightly chewy. A good all purpose use bread, too, light enough and not dense as a brick, but has some heart to it. This one I used steel-cut oats instead of rolled oats which i have been using up to this point. Steel-cut oats stay intact as a grain instead of mixing into the flour mixture... very different for the textuyre.
