It's the first time I have spotted and taken pictures for the Striated heron in the wild. The Striated heron is difficult to find since they are more shy than those common herons. And I did not intend to have some Chinese instrumental music as background music, it comes from a temple near by the river.
Casting your net on the other side!
I got up early, way before dawn, walking along the shore, hoping to see the sun rise, but I was mesmerised by this fisherman, unhurriedly pulling up the netting just as his ancestors had done for ages, in this famous Lake Toba, in Northern Sumatra.
Serenity and peacefulness, only slightly intruded by the sound of small gentle waves lapping up the shore.
The distant horizon has some red roof blue houses, probably some aquatic farm floating on the huge lake.
Life and lifestyle comes in many ways and forms. Would you exchange this for the peak hour traffic and the rat race in large cities of the world?

This video opens with two young of Common Loon in their all-brown plumage, making some tentative head-dipping moves toward fending on their own by diving to find food. Then their two parents appear on the scene, diving repeatedly and bringing a steady supply of food to their growing offspring. This evocative sequence happened not far from the major city of Calgary, in southern Alberta, Canada.

A character actress sharing a little history about the Gullah people who were the descendants of slaves that came to Savannah,Georgia and the food and customs they brought over with them.Gullah is not only the name of the people but also the dialect which is very close to Bahamian Creole.The live commentary was part of the tour trolley package I had when I went to Savannah recently.
The Pacific Wren is one feisty little bird earlier this month it was claiming territory in our campsite, after a little protest dance it agreed to let us stay one more night. :))
I actually clipped this down to 45 seconds removing the 1st few seconds and the last but Lightroom decided it needed to post the entire footage? I don't get it...but that isn't unusual lol.

Jaguars are second largest big cat (just after the tiger) that can swim underwater very easily. They are known to swim to keep the body cool and also to hunt for their potential aquatic prey.
Jaguars live in a range of habitats ranging from arid scrubland, thick tropical forests, swamps, coastal mangroves, lowland river valleys, grasslands, to mixed-coniferous forests.

......jedoch konnten wir ihn nicht einfangen......15 Minuten nach dem unser Bekannter, der sich um die Bienen kümmert, kam und dabei war alles vorzubereiten, hat sich der Schwarm vom Baum gelöst und ist weiter geflogen.....es war der dritte Schwarm seit letztem Jahr, der sich in unserem Garten niedergelassen hatte....schade !!!

Este é o modelo em gesso do Ícaro. Escultura criada da minha imaginação para dialogar plasticamente com o Escravo Rebelde.
Dessa forma, eu comecei a estudar as qualidades geométricas desse corpo no espaço e a buscar uma variação anatômica que pudesse caraterizar a minha assinatura tridimensional.
Fiz isso para achar uma prova, para mim mesmo, de que eu seria Michelangelo, caso um detalhe muito particular e obscuro fosse encontrado.
