Extreme zoom plus extreme wind
Like millions of others, I spent the afternoon waiting to see America's first manned spaceflight mission in nine years.
Unfortunately it was scrubbed because of weather but it was still awesome to see so many others get excited for the event.
NASA and SpaceX will be retrying on Saturday:
May 30th at 3:22 PM EST.

I bought a home security camera (Xiaomi Mi 360) this year.
If I return at home and I don't see my cats indoors or in the garden, I can feel calmer watching the video recordings and checking if they have been indoors during the day.
This video is made up of almost 20 small sequences of several clips saved in the card camera over the past week.
I think it's a funny composition and I hope it is good for the weekly theme. Anyway, freedom also is a kind of comfort.

This is part of the stop motion that I made for English class. It is based off of Viola's monologue in Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare. I wrote the song, and Heidi wrote the accompaniment. She is on the piano, I am doing vocals.

Well, here it is - a bunch of short video clips I made a couple of nights ago of the Monarch Butterfly Caterpillars in action. These aren't NatGeo quality, but they're not bad given the short time frame, late afternoon, and I had to assemble the correct equipment (camera that had a quick release plate) and tripod, all before things quieted down for the evening. Then I had to squeeze in among the plants and try not to knock anybody off or step on any. Anyway, there's a few head jabs, some fun looks at how they devour the leaves one chomp at a time, like eating corn on the cob. Also just fun watching them move. There were a few ants in there too crawling around and I'm pretty sure they annoy the caterpillars. I did mention tripod, so any movement is the work of nature - a light wisp of breeze now and then. Do enjoy.
Rainbow lorikeets are true parrots, within the Psittacoidea superfamily in the order Psittaciformes. The rainbow lorikeet or lorikeet (common name) is a species of parrot found in Australia. It is common along the eastern seaboard, from northern Queensland to South Australia. Its habitat is rainforest, coastal bush and woodland areas. They are true parrots of medium-size, with the length ranging from 25 to 30 cm, including the tail. The weight varies from 75 to 157 g. The plumage of the nominate race, as with all subspecies, is very bright. The head is deep blue with a greenish-yellow nuchal collar, and the rest of the upper parts (wings, back and tail) are green. The chest is orange/yellow. The belly is deep blue, and the thighs and rump are green. In flight a yellow wing-bar contrasts clearly with the red underwing coverts.
Gordonia is a genus of flowering plants in the family Theaceae, related to Franklinia, Camellia and Stewartia. Of the roughly 40 species, all but two are native to southeast Asia in southern China, Taiwan and Indochina. They are evergreen trees, growing to 10–20 m tall. The bark is thick and deeply fissured. The leaves are alternately arranged, simple, serrated, thick, leathery, glossy, and 6–18 cm long. The flowers are large and conspicuous, 4–15 cm diameter, with 5 (occasionally 6-8) white petals; flowering is in late winter or early spring. The species are adapted to acidic soils, and do not grow well on chalk or other calcium-rich soils. They also have a high rainfall requirement and will not tolerate drought. S20N_838

era stato acquistato nell’anno 1998 dal Comune
Dopo oltre mille anni il “Castello dei Conti di Ceccano”
diventa finalmente proprietà pubblica.

(1734 si assiste alla totale trasformazione del Castello,
diventa un luogo di pena e segregazione fino al 1973,
quando Eugenio abitava a Ceccano era ancora carcere.
Poi il Castello vive in uno stato di totale abbandono)

I was shooting flowers yesterday morning (next to a canal), very focused on some macro shots, when I saw something in the corner of my camera's display screen... moving through the water very quickly : D
I barely had time to switch to video and try & zoom in on them before they were gone under a bridge!
The baby ducks were moving so fast to catch up with their mother... and one or two of them managed to hitch a ride on her back... until she went into TURBO MODE and they immediately slid right back off into the water! : D
Made me laugh to see this happen : D
Not sure if this really fits in my gallery, but if it brings some smiles or laughter to you guys as well, then I think it's a fun fit : )
I always say that I hope you find something interesting or enjoyable here : )
