The parallax effect is creating the illusion of depth with flat, two-dimensional objects by moving different background and foreground elements at varying speeds. Foreground objects move fastest, mid-ground slower, and the far-off background elements the slowest.

The single frame photograph was captured overlooking the Pyrenees, shot from the town of Pau on the northern edge of Pyrenees in France. The various planes of the photograph were excised and situated onto multiple planes vertically with a 3d camera pointed straight down at them in Adobe After Effects. Motion graphics were then added to create illusion of flyover, rotation, and varying depth of field.

well, it finally happened, we got ourselves a kitten, and as you can hear, her name is Georgina, about 15 weeks old, and she is adorable, also energetic, mischievous, and captivating.

I tried to get a good photo, but she is a wiggler, and I'm sure I will be posting more but this is the best I could do :)

I created this video from individual photographs. I watched this male Pacific Wren as he sang and displayed for his female companion that was only six feet away. He sometimes stopped to search for food but would return to his favourite display spot.

I took photographs of this little guy a couple of weeks ago on this same log but didn’t realize that this is where he displays.
