We have had a migration of pelicans and seagulls here on the Elk River the last few weeks! We have hatchling fish in the shallows and they are feeding frantically today! (I'm having fun with the video!)

The church bells rang continuously for one hour to celebrate the 70 year reign of Queen Elizabeth II. They could be heard throughout the village and down on the banks of the River Great Ouse.
He is still hiding from me and crying from time to time.

Plum Lake was very misty in the morning and we enjoyed watching it and listening to the birds tremendously.
The car was shaking from other cars and lorries passing. Next time I'll try it on a tripod if I can get close enough

This is the second position of the hawk after leaving its first position on the birdbath for the fence.
Before this, I had never actually observed a hawk eating its prey. I’ve been wondering why all the new White-Winged Doves had disappeared. If this Cooper’s Hawk eats one a day, that could explain it.

Loving the ability to see the Ibis feeding together with 2 of their youngsters (which are the darker birds) and a squirrel in the back feeding by the creek. Praying that we can start to really maintain our environment we have so much to be grateful for and yet seem to ignore so much of the harm we are causing. We MUST change our habits for the better!

I bought a home security camera (Xiaomi Mi 360) this year.
If I return at home and I don't see my cats indoors or in the garden, I can feel calmer watching the video recordings and checking if they have been indoors during the day.
This video is made up of almost 20 small sequences of several clips saved in the card camera over the past week.
I think it's a funny composition and I hope it is good for the weekly theme. Anyway, freedom also is a kind of comfort.

Le Marché du livre ancien et d’occasion, ouvert depuis 1987, se tient le week-end sous les halles de l'ancien marché aux chevaux de la rue Brancion, dans le 15ème arrondissement de Paris.
Je vous propose une flânerie dans ce marché pittoresque, accompagnés par une chanson de Georges Brassens qui fut un habitant (rue Santos-Dumont) et une personnalité du quartier dans les dernières années de sa vie. Le nom du parc public qui jouxte le marché rend hommage à l'artiste. Un buste en bronze par le sculpteur André Greck y est installé non loin des halles.
