This is my chipmunk friend who would come over and take peanuts from my hand. The six originals were taken at different times during the summer months (years ago). I held one hand open with the peanuts and my Elph camera with the other.
All were generated using image to video in Canva. Edited in Canva.

This is the time-lapse of the auroras in the Skaftafell National Park, this time a little slow because I took less photos there.
Short video of Pep from yesterday. I had him follow me first from the jeep into woods. He does not like that, he always has to be in the lead. Sorry the vid is sideways....
I have more photos to download and post too. Too bad none are of the moose but lots of Pep action.

In performance in Wetzikon last Sunday.
How are you?
The performance went well today, though the Yamaha C1 piano and hall were not as nice as the Steinway A and stage in Wetzikon. Still, things went well and people seemed pleased.
This is the last day of internet until July 2nd. I look forward to catching up with everyone in early July!

ENTRER DANS LA CAVITÉ -
Ce printemps. j'ai eu la chance de découvrir une famille de chouettes rayées quelques jours avant le départ des 3 petits. Au début j'étais bien caché dans une mini cache pour capter des moments le plus naturels possible. Puis, plus à découvert pour être un peu plus près, la famille ne s'occupait plus du tout de ma présence. Durée ici de 1:55 . Un des beaux moments vécus en photo animalière. Merci de votre visite.
A brilliant aurora from a coronal hole on the sun lead to a week of aurora this was the first night. 1700 still images, over 5 hours of shooting, clouds ruined the crecendo but I persevered and moved to a better pond after. Watch in HD

De Goðafoss is een van de grotere watervallen van IJsland. Hij is gesitueerd in het Mývatn district in centraal-noord IJsland aan het begin (of eind) van de Sprengisandur route die dwars door het binnenland voert. Het water van de Skjálfandafljót rivier valt over een breedte van 30 meter 12 meter naar beneden, en de Goðafoss wordt door rotsen in een paar stukken verdeeld. Een aantal kilometers stroomopwaarts ligt de Aldeyarfoss.
In het jaar 1000 na Christus werd op het Alþing bij Þingvellir besloten om christendom als nationale godsdienst te aanvaarden (althans buitenshuis; binnenskamers mocht men nog de oude goden aanbidden. De bedenker van deze constructie, de wetspreker Þorgeir Þorkelsson, die op weg naar zijn huis bij Ljósavatn langs de Goðafoss kwam, gooide als blijk van zijn bekering zijn heidense afgodsbeelden in deze waterval. Vandaar de naam: Godenwaterval. Een van de brandgeschilderde ramen in de markante kerk van Akureyri herinnert aan dit verhaal.

The Goðafoss (Icelandic: waterfall of the gods or waterfall of the goði) is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Iceland. It is located in the Bárðardalur district of North-Central Iceland at the beginning of the Sprengisandur highland road. The water of the river Skjálfandafljót falls from a height of 12 meters over a width of 30 meters.
In the year 999 or 1000 the Lawspeaker Þorgeir Ljósvetningagoði made Christianity the official religion of Iceland. After his conversion it is said that upon returning from the Alþingi, Þorgeir threw his statues of the Norse gods into the waterfall. Þorgeir's story is preserved in Ari Þorgilsson's Íslendingabók.
A window in the Cathedral of Akureyri (Akureyrarkirkja) illustrates this story.
MS Goðafoss, an Icelandic ship named after the waterfall, was carrying both freight and passengers. It was sunk by a German U-Boat in World War II, resulting in great loss of lives.
Summer storms are common where I live (it's summer in the Southern Hemisphere), they usually come in the afternoon and can last anywhere between a few minutes and several hours. Yesterday we had such a storm, it lasted about four hours and caused chaos for my birds. Even so, I put out food and some of them came. I stood at the back door with my phone and captured some of the action, here is 1/240th of the drama and fun.
