The local store is stocked with antique tools & packaged goods [boxes, bags, etc]. It's a very neat place to check out!
Just in case anyone wants to see what some stores look like in Honolulu, Hawaii... here is the Prada Store downtown.

(Just a note: the photo is not crooked. This is a mountainous country, and many streets are sloped. It does, however, make for good exercise.)
Orignal GEMCO Department Store sign that is still being used by Target. Target in early 2007 closed this store for major renovations. They had covered this sign until recently (June 2007). There are a pair of these signs along the border of this store. This is the Target in Signal Hill/Long Beach area on Atlantic in California. This sign is along the 405 Freeway.

I remember when all the drug stores had a soda fountain. My first job was working at one for one summer and a couple months into my senior school year. The pharmacists there didn't pay much, but helped promising students
with college if they studied to be a pharmacist. Dumb me, I wanted to be a horticulturist.

This storefront was added in the 1920s to this 1880s house by Solon S. Beman in Pullman. It is still open, despite the board-up.

We return to the odd music shop known as Store Front for our sophomore episode, only this time everyone has a name.
It's the night before Halloween and all is more weird then usual at Store Front. The store owner Mr Hondo is obsessed with sending out Halloween holiday emails he thinks would bring in more customers. The computers are attached by a mysterious video spam. The mobile geek network is called for help only the geek drinks the coffee and is changed forever. A scary halloween mannequin arrives and a little after people start disappearing..... oh yeah and someone realy die's.

This store had the most beautiful pottery and this is where I dropped my cash. I only got a few pieces as they were not cheap - but they're gorgeous!
I actually bought this ornament. It came from a gift store in Winston-Salem. The store had tons of original ornaments. Great store if you are rich. I came away with one. But, what a unique one it is!
This is in the basement of the Harvard Book Store in Cambridge, Mass. The back wall is covered with bookmarks and comic strips. May 2010.
This is a famous "honky tonk" in Helotes, Texas, Floore Country Store, about 15 minutes from our house. We try to go as often as there is someone there we want to see. It's a neat place that's been around for a long time. Willie still plays here on occasion as well as Ray Price, Merle Haggard, etc. Note the sign about Willie.....we wish that were true!!
