Since Mr Chiots is a new hunter, he needs a few things. Yesterday we headed down to Cabela’s in West Virginia with my parents to look around and pick up a few hunting supplies.
It’s a fascinating store, even if you’re not into hunting. They have all kinds of sporting goods from camping and fishing, to grilling and home sausage making supplies. They have all kind of animal scenes from around the world and a huge walk-through aquarium. It’s a lot like going to a natural history museum. They also have a white-tail deer exhibit featuring many award winning deer. We ate in their cafe, which features a lot of different game (we had elk burgers for lunch).

This location opened in July 2009; it was originally World Traveler, which opened on September 17th, 1999.
My wife let me stop in to the LEGO store on our way to her folk's place for the 4th. She also let me buy the Green Grocer, since I didn't buy any LEGO during our engagement.

A community corner store in Boston's north end. Now, if you're not familiar with Boston or the New England accents, you might miss the point that this store's name is written out phonetically. (Connah instead of Corner... some call it the "preservation of R's" theory, while others debate that it's more of a reallocation of R's instead.) The part I find even funnier than the name, however, is that the whole sign is hand painted except for the words describing the goods found inside. Those have been left exposed from the sign they painted over in the first place. The whole thing just drips of New England resourcefulness.

They had a lot of religious articles for sale -- much of it looked like it must have come from an old Catholic church in Argentina. The list price on the angel: $1,650.

The Plant Store is a cozy abode filled with plants collected from all over the globe. Glenn and Joanne grow almost anything from herbs, flowers, vegetables and other rare plants. Their floating home collects water from rain and power from the sun so they can keep their store running year-round. When they don't have customers, they love to bake, paint, read and play with their three cats. In their floating oasis, every day is an adventure, and with every plant that thrives, so does the spirit of their extraordinary home.
We had a look at the Apple store. Prices are so ridiculously low here. I played with Leopard a little, the new iMovie a little (and thought it wasn't so bad after all) and the ipod Touch - which I loved.
This logo was designed for a gift and bookstore and cafe situated in an old farm house, next to a cow pasture. Partners draws in patrons looking for unique products from local and worldwide sources.

I love taking pics of what I'm buying at the grocery store. I also like to look at what other people buy to see what it says about them.
Here I have peanut butter, reduced fat sour cream, corn syrup, margarine, vanilla pudding, catfish on clearance, shredded cheese, and chocolate chips.
Close to closing time is about the only time when there isn't a crowd to block the view of the interior of this, the first Starbucks in Beverly Hills.
