At the end of 2014, Disney Store will be releasing a third edition of the famous Disney Animator's Princesses Dolls!
I have never been in this store, but it looks like an exciting place! Almost like a carnival, or something, with all those bright lights!
The Container Store (23,000 square feet)

This location opened in August 2011; it was originally a Joseph-Beth Books, which opened on April 30th, 2005 and closed in November 2010.
The site originally housed a Sears, which opened on August 12th, 1970 and closed on June 28th, 2003. The building was demolished in October 2003.
Concrete grain silos in Leland IL. Amazingly, this elevator did not have a siding to haul it's grain via rail. Forgot to ask the guy in the office the reason for that.
The winter weather and boredom were getting me down yesterday, so I decided a trip to Journeys of Life (which I've affectionately nicknamed "the fairy store") was in order. I still had a lot of money on the gift card mamma got me for Christmas and I used it to buy happiness.
Happiness consisted of a new oracle card deck, some wind chimes, a bracelet that says "Shine" (which, among other things, makes me think of the Vienna song), and a new spacey CD to meditate to. I also talked to some really nice people who work there and have similar interests, which always gets me fired up.
But yeah, I went home, made myself a nice cup of white hot chocolate, put on the new CD, smudged, and spent some time going through my new cards with the book in hand. It was like the best day ever.
I'm a little obsessed with my new deck - it's my second deck by Colette Baron-Reid, which seems a little excessive, but looking at the store copy sold me. The artwork is gorgeous, the themes are really neat and different from my Avalon deck, and I also thought it was really cool that this deck allows for inverse meanings, like standard Tarot cards. It actually lends itself very nicely to a 10-card Tarot spread, which I think is really cool, because doing 3- and 5-card readings was getting old. I'm in the midst of nailing down all my interpretations of the cards, because as much as I do adore Colette Baron-Reid, I think some of her explanations leave a bit to be desired. Once I can readily call to mind all the crap I want to say about each card while in the middle of a reading, I am so ready to go with these.
AAAAA! I'M SO EXCITED. I LOVE THESE CARDS. :D
Recently, the Safeway store at the Confederation Mall went through some renovations, and the décor of the store now matches new stores, somewhat. With this store, there is now a Starbucks store on the west end of town. What I like about this store, and most store renovations, is that the doors were not replaced. They were just painted black, and all decals removed.

I have just meet another friend who is dressed up like the famous Statue of Liberty. This is Mickey Mouse and is he dressed up as the Statue of Liberty in the 5th Ave Disney Store.

General store near Lick Creek in Greene County TN. A small grass airfield was nearby and we watched parachuters landing while we took this photo.
Shopping Center located in Venice California on Lincoln Blvd. This is a replacement shopping center from the 1980's where the original center was located along Lincoln and the parking was in the rear. When the site was redeveloped, the parking lot replaced the original stores and the shopping center was moved back. The Thrifty Drug store was converted into a Rite Aid Pharmacy when Rite Aid took over Thrifty Payless Company in the late 1990's. The original supermarket was a Market Basket, which relocated to the new store site. It is in the typical 1980's Market Basket Design. When Kroger Company, who owned the Market Basket Chain left Southern California, the chain was split up among many Supermarket Chains. This location became a Boys Market, who a few years later, briefly renamed it Market Basket for a test run, then switched it back to Boys Market. In 1992, the parent company of Boys took over Ralphs Supermarkets, and renamed itself Ralphs Company, dividing the company into Ralphs Supermarkets and Food 4 Less Supermarkets. This store was renamed Ralphs. As a further side note, a few years later, Kroger bought the Ralphs Grocery Company, thus buying back several stores that they originally owned years earlier.
