The giant thermal store - holding 2.5 million litres of hot water, which are then pumped into the adjoining estate for heating.
Pictures of traditional Japanese New Year's sales and fukubukuro in the Shibuya and Harajuku neighborhoods of Tokyo. Fukubukuro - sometimes called Happy Bags, Lucky Bags, or Mystery Bags - are bags that you purchase for a price that is much cheaper than the value of the items inside - but you don't know what is actually inside until after you buy the bag. It's a fun bargain purchase for customers and it allows shops to reward loyal customers, boost sales to kick off the year, and to unload overstock items. Happy New Year 2015!
A store on the boardwalk in Venice Beach, CA had it's sign "Photoshopped" to be the Bitcoin B symbol. The store already had the Bitcoin orange, and a round sign, so I couldn't help but do the slight tweak.
The flagship Apple Store located on Fifth Avenue in front of General Motors Building.
The store is located below ground level, accessible by an elevator or steps, leaving this glass cube as the visual point of interest. During my previous New York City visit of October 2011, the glass cube had been scaffolded, so it's nice to be back to see it in its full glory.
This store never closes - its hours are 24/7/365.

The store (Natural Gum Marketing Enterprise in Adama) is managed by the government. This site is only for cleaning and packing for export. Gum is coming from Southern, South Eastern and Western regions of Ethiopia. Regional offices are located within each area, and employ traders to buy the gum. After that, the gum is transported to the storage site in the town of Adama. Each gum is cleaned by hand, sorted by size, and then color. Gum is collected from Acacia (Boswllia Paprifera ) and Acacia Senegal (South East Boswllia Negra).

Photograph taken on January 7, 2009 of former Milliron’s Department Store that opened approximately in 1949. A few years later The Broadway Department Store chain took over this site and it was a Broadway Department Store until the early 1990s. The Broadway disposed of this location. Mervyns took over the site, gutted the interior, remodeled the interior, removed the rooftop parking, as well as an escalator tower and stairs that led to the roof. Located in Westchester California on Sepulveda and LaTijera. Los Angeles California. In 2008, Mervyns announced that they were closing down all of their stores. This former Mervyns Department Store closed down in early January 2009. Originally, when this was a Broadway, you could drive up to the roof for parking via a ramp. The ramp has been sealed off after Mervyns took over the buliding. Photo of former Mervyns Department Store. This is a photo of the loading dock area.
Located across the street from the former Mervyns is another Shopping Center. In this center is a Longs Drugs and a Ralphs Supermarket. In 2008 CVS Pharmacy Stores puchased the Longs Drug Store Chain. In early April 2009, the Longs Drug Store changed its name to CVS Pharmacy. The CVS Pharmacy is located Ralphs Westchester at Sepulveda at Westchester Parkway, near Lincoln (sort-of) in Los Angeles, California. Ralphs Westchester was builts first, due to its success, Longs Drugs was then built next door. About a block down the street, at Lincoln is another CVS Pharmacy, formerly a Sav-on Drug Store. The cashier at the new CVS store said they were keeping both CVS Stores. Also in this shopping center is Pet Co (former JJ Newberrys then Flax Art Store, now sub divided into Petco, Tuesday Morning and misc. Shops.
In the shopping center connected to the former Mervyns Department Store is the other CVS Pharmacy Store, a former Sav-on Drug Store. This other CVS Pharmacy store is located in a companion shopping center and separtated by less than a mile from the former Longs now CSW Store. In this shopping center is Trader Joes Market, CVS Pharmacy Store, TJ Maxx (former JC Penny Department Store), Pandera Bakery, Hometown Buffet, some misc. shops.
My new online store is now open, it features limited edition prints on Hahnemuhle fine art rag paper. The store will soon feature original drawings, gocco prints, silk screens, and much more!

A visit to Maker Media’s pop-up store at 345 Sutter Street, in San Francisco's iconic Union Square. For the holidays, they offer a well-curated selection of maker products: from drones to robots, 3d printing and do-it-yourself kits. You can gets hands-on experience for some of these products, and they also give free workshops. I was there to meet Dale Dougherty, founder and chairman of Maker Media, to get his advice on our art maker programs, such as the Pataphysical Slot Machine exhibit and the Create Your Own Wonderbox workshops. He was very generous with his time and gave me some really helpful guidance for how to grow this project next year. Maker Media is the publisher of Make: magazine, the producer of the popular Maker Faires — and a driving force for the Maker movement.

The Hershey Store, in Times Square, was one of the stops of our latest Flickr Meet. Larry, Jeff, Veronica, Mackenzie and I had a great time touring around New York City, talking photography, and catching up with each other. It was a great day out and I'm already looking forward to the next Flickr Meet!
Aha! It's an Independently-owned business, which I took a photo of before even knowing what the mission 24 assignment for the week was. It really does pay just to take pics all the time. Anyway, I came away from here with a bag of tasty vegan foodie loot, and sat in front of the store with a bunch of flowers and ate a cookie. Happy times.
