The remains of the explosives store at Mynachdy Colliery. The round indentations are to take barrels of gunpowder, used for blasting rock underground. The mine finally closed in the early 1930s
It's not on the National Register of Historic Places. Nor the State of Alabama equivalent list. But a neat little building nevertheless, and little changed from when it was an active business place.

This location opened on March 20th, 2021; it was originally part of Circuit City #3549, which was built and opened in 2004 and closed in March 2009. It became an hhgregg on November 12th, 2009, which closed in spring 2017
This store, about 10 minutes down the road from my house, hasn't been in operation for quite sometime. I remember when it was a busy place though.

Parking Lot sign along Rodeo. Former JJ Newberrys Variety Store which moved to center of this three store shopping center. Original configuration: SAFEWAY Supermarket, Clark Drugs and JJ Newberrys. On Rodeo at La Brea in Los Angeles, California. After JJ Newberrys and Safeway Supermarket left the center, a major remodel took place. Boys Markets took over JJ Newberry Site. When Boys Corporate ower took over Ralphs Company, this store became a Ralphs Grocery Store. One of three photos.
