I try to stay out of this section of the pharmacy. I hate needles and can't stand the thought of being surrounded by them.

Meeks' (or Plunkett-Meeks) Store in Appomattox Court House, Virginia, was built in 1852 by John Plunkett and bought about 10 years later by Francis Meeks, who operated the store and post office there at the time of the surrender ending the American Civil War. This building, which appears in a circa-1890 photo in National Park Service Handbook 109, is a restored original structure; it faces the courthouse across the street (right, out of this photo). Portions of Meeks' Stable and Woodson's Law Office (preceding photos) are visible on the left and right of the store, respectively; farther right is a Clover Hill Tavern building.
In much the same way that relocating the Virginia capital from Williamsburg to Richmond during the Revolutionary War is credited with making the eventual restoration of Colonial Williamsburg possible, the 1892 burning of the Appomattox County courthouse is said by the National Park Service to have kept the area as it existed at the end of the Civil War available for restoration. Rather than rebuild the courthouse on the same site right after the fire, the county relocated the county seat to Appomattox Station (now Appomattox) a few miles away, and the old courthouse area was largely abandoned.
For more information, see the Appomattox Court House set.
Spotted in the Minneapolis airport. When I think about the recursion of having a Mall of America store inside another mall, I get a little queasy.
This is the most wonderful and tasteless store I have ever seen. Only rave clothing and accessories but very very dedicated, if I were a raver I think this would be my heaven, a store made with passion just for them. They also had shirts with LED-displays, which were droolworthy.
Opening day of the Aople Store in Uptown Minneapolis. The store closed for good in 2020.

From the left, The Lincoln Castle, this is one of a pair of paddle steamers that used to sail from the north and south shores of the Humber Estuary before the bridge was built. Corporation Road lift bridge. Very rarely used today as all of the industry along the banks of this dock has gone and has been replaced by supermarkets. Finally the old grain store which has now been converted into apartments. The building on the far right is all that is left of the once beautiful Palace Theatre, Grimsbys premier entertainment venue before the war. It has now been renovated and has a number of retail outlets within its walls.
The store was all boarded up (the previous shot in my photostream).

I was so excited when I saw this sparkly pink Caboodle! It reminds me of a Lady Lovely Locks lunch box I had when I was little. I love clear plastic with glitter! Plus I really needed somewhere to put all of my glitter eyeliners and nail polishes.
The Strawberry Shortcake jar isn't really anything too special to me and I have another similar one, but it was SSC and only $0.75 so I bought it. I'm not one to leave vintage SSC behind.
I recently re-discovered this Wizard of Oz cartoon and had been wanting to see it. Can't believe I found this video so shortly after.
Same goes with the Sky Dancers DVD. I had been wanting to see the Sky Dancers series again and had been trying to find an accurate episode guide to start buying the DVDs online. Then BAM I ran into this DVD. Gotta find the rest of the series now.
And lastly I found this amazing, cute, rare little Princess Toadstool (NOT Peach! Why is her name Peach now?!) pin.
The historic Sebastian's Store in San Simeon Village, California. This store was built in 1852 about a half mile from here, but it was moved to this location in 1878.
Drinks at a convenience store! I regret not drinking more soda while in Japan, but I also really like ocha.
