Nixon's General Store and Deli in Tabernacle, N.J.. Built in 1850 by Henry Peters to serve the people of the Pine Barrens. Purchased by the Nixons in 1956 and reopened in 1962 after being closed a number of years. Great sandwiches!

Updated promo on the UK Disney Store site for the 17 inch Limited Edition Rapunzel Wedding Doll. It will go on sale at 00:00 on March 28, 2012 on the website, and at 9 AM in the Oxford Street Disney Store in London.
According to the Disney Store facebook page, the price will be £60, which is the same price as the previous 17'' Limited Edition dolls in the UK, and is currently equivalent to about $95 US.
In this photo, you see less detail of the Alastair Whybrow steampunk tiara but you can see the halo of smoke from its little power plant.

Since Mr Chiots is a new hunter, he needs a few things. Yesterday we headed down to Cabela’s in West Virginia with my parents to look around and pick up a few hunting supplies.
It’s a fascinating store, even if you’re not into hunting. They have all kinds of sporting goods from camping and fishing, to grilling and home sausage making supplies. They have all kind of animal scenes from around the world and a huge walk-through aquarium. It’s a lot like going to a natural history museum. They also have a white-tail deer exhibit featuring many award winning deer. We ate in their cafe, which features a lot of different game (we had elk burgers for lunch).

I was trying to use up some spare parts when I made my Christmas ornaments. I used some of my Rummikub game pieces, some jewels and wire ornament hangers that I bought at the dollar store a while ago.
A shoe store in Pontinha (near Lisboa) called Linux.
Actually I think that the shoe store is older than the OS. One interesting thing is the registered sign in Linux. And no, I don't have the faintest idea why it's called Linux which doesn't sound even remotely portuguese
A community corner store in Boston's north end. Now, if you're not familiar with Boston or the New England accents, you might miss the point that this store's name is written out phonetically. (Connah instead of Corner... some call it the "preservation of R's" theory, while others debate that it's more of a reallocation of R's instead.) The part I find even funnier than the name, however, is that the whole sign is hand painted except for the words describing the goods found inside. Those have been left exposed from the sign they painted over in the first place. The whole thing just drips of New England resourcefulness.
The Hershey Store in Times Square looks very impressive from the outside, but I find the inside to be very disappointing. Although it looks very large, the store itself is quite small and cramped. Not much seems to be sold here either. Most of what they have are candy bars and bags of chocolates that you can buy almost anywhere else for less then half what is being charged here.
I feel bad about that, since I am a big fan of both Hershey foods and their theme park. I really wanted to like this place.

A fine example of early 20th century commercial life is illustrated in Wingina Store, built about 1920 in the Wingina community of Nelson County, Virginia. It was built and owned by the Johnson family of Buckingham County, across the James River from Wingina. Then the Wood family operated the post office and store. The general store closed its doors in 1991 , but the post office is still in operation. Wingina was once named Hardwicksville. Lynchburg architect Stanhope S. Johnson (1882-1973) designed the store; his architectural list is substantial, designing over 700 structures including the Allied Arts Building (1929), Centenary Methodist Church (1925) and numerous residences in Lynchburg and area.
The 2-story frame building has a false stepped parapet in the front elevation. Covered in weatherboard, it rests on a concrete parged foundation. (Parging is a coating applied to foundation walls to cover up imperfections or marks in the material; its use is decorative.) The structure has a main section and a 1-story wing, also topped with a false parapet. The entrance is by concrete steps leading to the one-story wood porch, which extends the full facade of the front. It has a centered double-leaf door, flanked by large plate glass windows. There is a basement; a latticed-in area is below the porch. Three windows are in the front, and a bank of windows on the side visible from the road. It is included in the Norwood-Wingina Rural Historic District listed on the National Register of Historic Places August 20, 2019 with ID#100004305.

Cinderella and Other Princess Plush Purchases - July 19, 2012
Photo shoot of my Disney Store Plush Prince Charming Doll. The love interest of Cinderella is 21'' tall and has a plush body with soft fill. His royal outfit consists of gold satin jacket with glittering gold trim and collar, faux gold leather epaulets and belt, white satin gloves, red pants with gold satin trim, and finally faux brown leather shoes. His brown hair is all plush, and sewn to his head, with separate sideburns and ears. His face has embroidered features, with dark brown eyes and light brown lips. I like his look much better than the 12'' poseable Disney Store Prince Charming, and is a good match for the Plush Wedding Cinderella Doll. He is a good buy at 2 for $30, and even better with the additional 25% off coupon.
With a 25% off Disney Store coupon, that is good until Sunday both online and in store, I went to my local Disney Store and bought a bunch of newly released Cinderella related plush dolls. I also bought mini plush Aurora and Cinderella dolls. All of these dolls were paired with similar dolls to take advantage of 2 for $30 for medium plush, and 2 for $15 for mini plush.
