Okay so I went to the Lego store hoping to pick up the June calender. But would you guess what? They didn't have any!!! So I had to settle for the July, which is one of the coolest ones I own. I really like the Harry Potter theme with this. Oh and it's over sized again. Another good thing!

Topanga Plaza Mall under renovations. Photos taken in late May 2007. The Topanga Plaza Mall originally contained May Co, The Broadway, Ohrbachs and Montgomery Wards. There was also an Ice Skating Ring.

The May Co converted in 1993 to Robinsons May Department Store by the May Department Stores when they combined May Co and Robinsons. In 2006, this store was converted to a Macy*s Department Store after Federated purchased the May Department Store Chain.

The BROADWAY closed in 1996 after Federated sold the site to Sears Department Stores. Sears opened in late 1996.

Nordstoms Department Store relocated in 2007, it took over a portion of the original parking lot, near the new Sears (former The Broadway Department Store).

The original Nordstroms, which opened around 1987, was demolished after closing and is now a Neiman Marcus Department Store.

The Montgomery Wards closed in the early 2000s, sat vacant for a few years and was finally demolished to make way for the expansion of Topanga Plaza and a new Target.

The above pictured Target opened in 2007 and is in the general area of the former Montgomery Wards Department Store. Photo of the Target Department Store, rooftop entrance.

My father Arthur Beazley Jr. owned this store. It was officially listed as Arcadia Service but it was better known locally as "Old Beazley's store".

My grandparents acquired the building around 1932.In 1951 the house I live in was built and they moved here and closed off the second floor. It was only used for storage after that.

The bottom floor was a general store.A true representation of the old time "Mom and Pop/country store". A good portion of the items he sold were bought from Food Lion on special and he sold them for regular price.

One of the most commonly heard things about the store was that it had the coldest beer in the area. There was always a small rush of people around quitting time lol. Another notable part of the store was that it was the only place around that you could open a line of credit. All the records were kept in a wood covered, handwritten log book(That's right,no computers in this store lol).

My father died in November of 2003.The store sat unused other than storage for some of my stuff for a few years. The store was just recently auctioned off in August 2010.The new owner is in the process of renovating/restoring the building with the intentions of putting some sort of small business there. Sydney, Australia - Jun 16, 2017: Aldi supermarket store located in Chatswood Westfield Centre. Aldi is a German multinational that has grown popular by offering low prices on high quality products.

Photos taken on 12/02/2009 of the Fomer SAFEWAY Supermarket now VONS Supermarket. Also photos include Rite Aid Drug Store.

This group of photos include the Rite Aid, former Payless Drug Store. I was actually running into the VONS to see if they had remodeled. They hadn't. It is still the original decor from around 1988 when VONS took over SAFEWAY and remodeled all of the former SAFEWAYs with a unified look. The decor is the original white walls with Red Lettering Script on the walls.

Then I went over to the Rite Aid, and to my surprise, it still had the original Payless Drug Store Decor as can be seen in these photos. Sadly, I figured this store's days are numbered as there are plans to rebuild the VONS store. The cashier said that they are supposed to remodel the VONS next year. We will see.

This VONS Supermarket is located at the famous intersection of Colorado and Sierra Madre in the city of Pasadena, California. This is the intersection where the Rose Parade ended and the floats made their way to their final viewing spot. (The route may have changed, but for many years it turned at this intersection.)

This was originally one big SAFEWAY Supermarket that contained a SAFEWAY Supermarket and a Drug Store. In 1988, VONS took over SAFEWAY's Southern California Division and this store became a VONS. In or around 1996, SAFEWAY took over VONS Supermarkets and kept the VONS name.

While this store was operating under SAFWAY, the years it was divided into two stores. In the 1980s, the drug store side became a SAFEWAY Liquor Barn. After the Liquor Barn chain closed down, it turned into a Payless Drug Store. Payless was taken over by Thrifty Drug Stores, who were taken over by Rite Aid (around 1999).

(I believe but can't confirm that this was a former SAFEWAY Super S Combination Supermarket Drug Store.)

Cleaning supplies can emit gases even with the cap closed. Many household chemicals, like paint thinners and other solvents, contain known carcinogens.

Sustainable Spaces recommends storing them away from your kitchen and living spaces. They also recommend using non-toxic cleaning supplies.

Photos taken on January 7, 2009 of former Longs Drugs. In 2008 CVS Pharmacy Stores puchased the Longs Drug Store Chain. This former Longs Drug Store changed its name within the last couple of weeks to CVS Pharmacy. It is currently under renovation to switch from the Longs Drug Store Format to the CVS Pharmacy format. The CVS Pharmacy is located Ralphs Westchester at Sepulveda at Westchester Parkway, near Lincoln (sort-of) in Los Angeles, California. Ralphs Westchester was builts first, due to its success, Longs Drugs was then built next door. About a block down the street, at Lincoln is another CVS Pharmacy, formerly a Sav-on Drug Store. The cashier at this store said they were keeping both CVS Stores.

This is a photo of the other CVS Pharmacy Store, former Sav-on Drug Store, less than a mile from the former Longs now CSW Store. In this section of the shopping center, it contains: Trader Joes Market, CVS Pharmacy Store, TJ Maxx (former JC Penny Department Store), Pandera Bakery, Hometown Buffet, some misc. shops and the former Broadway Westchester Department Store, which turned into the now closed Mervyns Department Store.

Closing Sale for Levitz Furniture Store, which is also a former SEARS HomeLife Furniture Store. Across from SEARS in the Northridge Mall.

Historical, Former Bullocks, converted to Macy*s at the Northridge Mall in Northridge on Tampa. Northridge California. Photos taken on December 28, 2007, Friday morning. Northridge Mall in Northridge on Tampa. This Mall includes: a Sears Department Store, a J.C.Penney Department Store, a Levitz Furniture Store, two Macy*s Department Stores, shops, restaurants and Movie Theaters. Originally this mall also contained a May Co Department Store, a Robinsons May Department Store and The Broadway Department Store. When Macy*s took over the Broadway it was ordered by the Courts to divest this site, it was closed down, and subdivided into shops. May Co Department Stores and Robinsons Department Stores were two different chains owned by May Co. In 1992, May Department Stores decided to merge the two chains into Robinsons May Departmetn Store. This Mall had two Robinsons May Department Stores for several years. One of the two was devoted exclusively to Men's and home. The other store had everything else. Eventually, Robinsons May combined the two stores by adding a new section to the main store. The original Men's and Home store was demolished. In 2006, Macy*s took over Robinsons May and closed the store in the fall of 2006. In the fall of 2007, Macy*s reopened the old Robinsons May buidling as a Macy*s Men's and Home Store. Across the street, was another shopping center that had several different types of stores. Some of the stores include: Bed Bath and Beyond, etc. Also in this center included several stores a Levitz Furniture Warehouse (which downsized and moved into Mall across the street), a Best Catalog Showroom Store (the chain closed down completely) and a Tower Records (the chain closed down completely in 2006). Over the years these stores have closed down, with no replacements. The complex has remained largely vacant over the years. It is In only the last few months that there has been activity on the site. The neighborhood fought off an attempt by Wal Mart to take over the site about a year ago. One of xx photos of this area.
