This breath is not smooth, this mind not still.

The dust is heavy beneath the bed.

Even in the storm, I sit and breathe.

New life is near. I bow my head.

Late afternoon, Deiva Marina, Liguria

How many times, in how many occasions, we feel like life is so restless! Once we start getting in to it, it seems to be a spiral in, we keep going and going, and so on.

It was noon probably, and saw this lady sitting beside a pool in front of City Hall, Churchill Square, Edmonton, AB. Whenever you feel restless, just take a deep breathe, and try to pour yourself in peace within that never ending spiral of commotion.

As part of my tribute to last nights gig by Half Man Half Biscuit, I was trying to find a photo to fit this wonderful title, Restless Legs. I actually suffer from restless legs both in the literal sleep sense and also in the fact I can't stay still for long! The attached youtube link is a parody of my favourite David Lynch film, Eraserhead, to this wonderful track! The bit where he wanders around Llyn Ogwen is just me!!! I love An teallach as well! windy day walk on the beach

Not the best image you'll see of a Fc but I like it. Same bird as previously posted.

A restless slumber

With feelings asunder

Contemplate with will

To meditate

A time, a place and being

Those weird dreams he is seeing

Thou dormant state

Will be gone the wait

And soon enough

A new season of life

Of renewed energy and vigor

When wintery months so cold

Will be told

That the sun shines again

On a new canopy

And sugary sweet sap flows

In the Spring of his mind

I always enjoy finding these lovely and idiosyncratic birds. Their coffee grinder calls and the flitting habits make them enjoyable to encounter.

A restless colony consisting out of Common Guillemots (Uria aalge) (in this picture), Brünnich's Guillemots (Uria lomvia) and Razorbills (Alca torda) were circling around the small island of Hornøya for an hour or two. After that they all disappeared... almost all.

A lone waterfall plunges from the rugged cliffs into the North Atlantic, while shifting light breaks through heavy clouds above the wild coastline of the Faroe Islands. A landscape shaped by wind, water, and time — raw, remote, and unforgettable.

the promenade steps covered in spongy seaweed. losing my balance as I sit and wait. and the sun lowers itself in the heat of the evening.

Photo at a local cafe in Lansing, Michigan. I carry a mini-tripod everywhere I go. Tripods are great for getting that perfect angle.

Restless Flycatcher

Myiagra inquieta

Monarchidae

In another part of the waterhole...another bird on a stick...

A pair of these were always somewhere to found around the waterhole. They came in quite close to me, maybe after the flies which were in plague proportions, but were hard to get clean shots of. Here it dropped in in front of me for a drink.
