... like undulating ripples in the water
I took this image a while ago last spring, but have been playing with the processing, trying to find the right feel
2.6.2015. The harbour wall at Sennon has been battered by the Atlantic swell for over a hundred years.
Cape Cornwall can be seen in the top left corner of the image.
I was fascinated by the patterns and colours revealed during the slow shutter speed.
“For you made us for yourself, and our hearts are restless until they find their rest in you.” - St. Augustine of Hippo
St. Augustine’s famous prayer resonates with the very essence of our existence. He reminds us that God crafted us for a higher purpose, destined to seek fulfillment beyond the confines of this world. Ever restless, our hearts yearn for a deeper connection—a divine rest only found in our spiritual journey. Augustine’s words serve as a guiding light, urging us to seek meaning and purpose. We will only find true and everlasting rest in our Creator.
After posting one of my favourites from Tremenheere Sculpture Garden today (see previous post >>), it reminded me of another favourite which only works as a video, as it moves.
The video starts slowly and get exciting about halfway through.
Designed by Penny Saunders with help from sculptural engineer Rob Higgs.
Will you blow my way?
Pick me up off my feet .... just one last time
Just take me from here
Carry me away

I've been tied to a mast
Anchored to a shore
As long as you willing, then I'll be sure
To go with you....
As long as you promise to take me home again

Meet me at the ocean
where the water meets the sand
Our world alone,
this is our eternity
I dream of this place
Waves crashing restlessly
on the beach...
This breath is not smooth, this mind not still.
The dust is heavy beneath the bed.
Even in the storm, I sit and breathe.
New life is near. I bow my head.

questo video è un regalo di un mago

How many times, in how many occasions, we feel like life is so restless! Once we start getting in to it, it seems to be a spiral in, we keep going and going, and so on.
It was noon probably, and saw this lady sitting beside a pool in front of City Hall, Churchill Square, Edmonton, AB. Whenever you feel restless, just take a deep breathe, and try to pour yourself in peace within that never ending spiral of commotion.
