My wife's mom has a farm that isn't too far outside the city. On occasion, I find my way up there when I possibly think there might be a good sunset to be had. I ventured out a little further than I usually do and on my way back I found this darkened scene with just a little light left in the evening to squeak out a hand held image. I bellied up to the barbed wire fence and fired off a few. I will probably post a few more images from that night as I feel I came away with some powerful images. Hope you enjoy. Hope all of you are well. Be kind and love one another for we're all each other has.
From restless thoughts, that, like a deadly swarm
Of hornets arm'd, no sooner found alone,
But rush upon me thronging.
~John Milton
I’ll try to make this my last Snow Bunting post for a while 😊
The ocean is a little restless ahead of an incoming storm. My favorite place on the California coast, Pescadero State Beach, just north of Santa Cruz.
One of San Diego's great locations to shoot sunsets. This is the Oceanside Pier in of course Oceanside in northern San Diego.
Again I took a wide variety of setting for my shots and landed up liking the 0.8sec exposure. This is the sweet spot to get a great motion in water thats not too still and not too moving.
This is just after the sunset but again no great hues nor clouds so I thought a nice splashing foreground and a converging pier poles in the middle would give the photograph an interesting outlook and perspective.
Thanks for you favorites and comments, I highly appreciate them!

"In my restless dreams, I see that town... Silent Hill. You promised you'd take me there again some day... but you never did. Well, I'm alone there now, in our special place... waiting for you."

On today's drive through the Samford Valley, I came across many types of animals. This was one of them.
Kindly click on image for clearer detail. Thank you.
To be able to fly like the birds seems so fascinating. Crows and/Ravens have always interests me...I think they are one of the most mysterious creatures in the world.
This is a quick study of drawing birds on Fabriano paper in which I decided to use charcoal & graphite.
I'm actually hoping to convey that sort of "danger" #ClimateChange could cause through this image...I think if we humans won't believe and actually listen to scientists perhaps animals could give us a "warning" of the truth behind what is inevitable...

Don't you know that I'm just restless baby
Don't you know that I'm just restless baby
Without you
Oh tell me that you love me
So I can find my place
And let me smell your sweet sweet lovin'
Without awkwardness
Oh tell me that you need me
And take me home
And lay me down in your comfort
So I can rest my soul
See I know you just need a little space and time
I know you're not even really even one for trying
Don't forget I know you best
And I know you just need a little love for free
Need a little space a little time to breathe
But I'm not one for rest
Don't you know that I'm just restless baby
Don't you know that I'm just restless baby
Without you
Oh but failing
With my lovin's
My only regret
And caught up in the moment
Tryna own it
Just ain't making any sense
And for all that I wished for I could not see
Understand that I feel foolish
Not for love I would not do this
But getting back to you has got its hold
Staithes creek before sunrise is filled with the sound of noisey gulls.I don't think people get to sleep in at Staithes.

Excuse me for a while
While I′m wide-eyed
And I'm so damn caught in the middle
I excused you for a while
While I′m wide-eyed
And I'm so damn caught in the middle
And a lion, a lion roars, would you not listen?
If a child, a child cries, would you not forgive them?
Yeah I might seem so strong
Yeah I might speak so long
I've never been so wrong
Yeah I might seem so strong
Yeah I might speak so long
I′ve never been so wrong
“The restlessness and the longing, like the longing that is in the whistle of a faraway train. Except that the longing isn't really in the whistle—it is in you.”
~ Meindert DeJong
This is the awkwardly named the Hospital Reef, right next to the La Jolla Cove. Absolutely gorgeous stretch of tide pools. As the sun started to go down, the beautiful evening hues started to settle on the landscape. Long exposures gave a mystical feeling to the composition. Thought to shoot these merging rocks against the bouncing tides would appear as an island emerging from the ocean and the small tide pools gave such an interesting look to the photograph.
